Another demanding afternoon

Another demanding afternoon on the beach, at least for Boris. He decided that going into the sea to retrieve the ball was the task of the day so we have spent most of the afternoon with me throwing it in followed by him bringing it out. It was the camping guy who first started this activity since he was looking after Boris whilst I was getting Dave and a couple of other things I needed to do. He sloped off after a while to leave me with a very soggy Boris so I thought I may as well continue where he left off.

Boris became better at problem solving as time went on as occasionally, the ball went further than he was prepared to swim which meant that it was taken further out by the waves only to return in a different location some time later. There was a certain amount of frustration on his part but he kept coming back for more.
We are just off now for our evening walk over the rocks on the promontory. There we will no doubt find Alex lurking after his exhausting afternoon in the sun.
It is quite cool now as the temperature has dropped to 24C according to my weather station so I might consider a polo shirt before we leave.
I’m glad that the Costa population have mastered the art of coffee-drinking, smoking and talking on the telephone as this restores my faith in humanity and proves, without any doubt, that man has indeed progressed from the simple ape.
