Chatting a moment ago with them, it transpired that they lived in Liverpool for three years with their two sons whilst her husband was working there.

He says he could never understand when a Liverpudlian phoned him up at home. I explained that we cannot understand them also. I mentioned that there is a special Scouse dictionary so that we had a fighting chance of understanding.
