Adonis came yesterday evening to tell me that he is unhappy with the way the decking project is progressing: he wants to take it all down and start again. We are still short some materials which should have been delivered yesterday.
He says he feels he will not be able to get it right unless he starts again. I’d rather have it a bit later and the best job he can manage rather than continue with something which could potentially end up as a bit of a bodge. We have agreed that I should take a more active role in managing the project and that he wishes me to consult with him as often as I want to ensure that the result is exactly as I envisaged.
The high was 38.2C which is the sort of temperature normally associated with July and August, not the end of may.
