The rain last night was quite short-lived and amounted to approximately 0.2mm. Things were reasonably dry when we went out this morning.
It has been sunny and warm with some clouds later in the day. I was sitting outside in the sun but found it too warm for comfort.
Ursula and Tony got their car back from the garage this morning and have reported that they are now in France. Stopped for coffee before heading north towards Lyon. How much further they will travel today, I don’t know. They are heading for Calais and a ferry to Dover. Still a bit of France to do before then.
Dave and the Brown Dogs went out for a walk this afternoon. We did a 50% normal walk and Dave took himself into the sea for a bathe and a paddle. The Brown Dogs were very good and simply provided a bit of company. They were out for a good run this morning anyway.
I called Antonis this morning to see how he was and he appears to have got over his sickness from yesterday.
I saw Georgia’s pickup in the camping earlier so assume that she and Maria might be here for the weekend. I’m not sure of the exact date they intend to move into their new house in Chania, but I believe they are in progress. They are moving from one house to another in the same development. Just up the road.
I had plans to go to the supermarket this morning but eventually decided I couldn’t really be bothered. Perhaps tomorrow…
Even at 18:00 it is now dark and all the dogs have been fed. I’ll leave the Small Dogs out for a little longer so long as they don’t decided to make a racket.
Erica and Janne emailed to tell me they will arrive for the New Year on 27/12 and go back to Sweden on 07/01. I hope the weather is good for them.
I understand that Georgia and Maria will be here for the holidays so doubtless there will be the usual gathering of friends and family to see in the New Year. Golly, can’t wait!
