I mentioned that I watched the episode of Foyle’s War concerned with Exercise Tiger in 1944. The episode itself culminated in VE Day 6 May 1945.
I had a look at Wikipedia and have found the following entry:
I was going towards the gate, a few minutes ago, to find Micky lying peacefully in the shade outside. Unfortunately his peace was not prolonged once Pea discovered him too, and raised the alarm. Micky has since disappeared and Pea has been confined to his house for ignoring my instruction to be quiet.
