People were swimming in the SEA!!

We had rain in the night, it was cold and very windy. My desire to get out of bed at 05:30 evaporated when I saw that the temperature was around 10C. Warm for you but chilly for me! We went eventually around 06:30, still quite a presentable time. They had all remained in their beds and quiet until this time so it was only me emerging from my pit which triggered the get-up routine.

We did what we normally do but took less time to do it. I ran, walked, ran and walked, just for a change and then we went back. Charlie had been hanging on to one of the balls and was determined not to give it up nor return to his lead at the end of the walk. He followed the others back but would not come near the gate which I then shut behind me.

I fed the others, let Five off her chain, and then went to let Charlie in through the smaller gate. I found the abandoned ball when I took Dave out a few minutes later. Charlie returned to the SDC to find it littered with empty food bowls so vainly scavenged to no avail. He did almost the same thing this evening except this time he came to me and allowed himself to be attached and brought in with the others. Learning curve…

There was a little more rain and it became a lot chillier. The wind didn’t help. Like my desire to rise at 05:30, my desire to ride to Paleochora evaporated equally rapidly.

I may have to change the gas bottle in a few minutes as it is nearly empty and it’s only 10.6 outside. LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) becomes less enthusiastic about changing from Liquid to Gas, when the temperature drops, especially if the cylinder is nearly empty. I’ve turned off the heater to divert all the gas to heating my food. I don’t see the point in sending any gas back to the supplier so like to use it all up.

The lady, the mother of Dina the cleaner, from previous years, moved into one of the rooms in the reception block on Monday evening. Dina came to return the key to me yesterday, Tuesday, evening saying the mother could not afford the rent as she has no work.

Xanthippos came for one of his little chats insisting that I check out all of his hard work. We wandered the camping looking at the windbreaks he’d removed and the tents he’d taken down which were long overdue. Ursula will be pleased that the two tents next to Ξ2 are no longer there.

I gave Dave his second walk and disappeared into the Executive Bathroom for a hot shower. Despite the cold, I’ve been wearing shorts all day. More from Bloody-Mindedness than for comfort. I’m wearing long trousers inside the van as I write this. Today’s top temperature was 14.6C and the low 8.9C. It should be warmer tomorrow hopefully. The weekend looks like rain.

Georgia emailed to say that she would be coming to the camping tomorrow and that we are to have a meeting. More consultations…

I think my food is now hot and the gas has not yet run out. I will leave the heater running until such time as it does.

Obi is in a tight ball beside me. I topped up all the dog houses with more straw this afternoon and have put a canvas sheet over Boris’ doorway. Hopefully, he does not decide to get up in the night and is unable to find his way in again.
