Potatoes and peas

Beautiful moonlight bathed the Promontory as we trotted across the beach. Soon to be shrouded in a thick layer of cloud but leaving enough reflected light to be able to see without a torch. I contented myself with four circuits of the Promontory today and we went back to Grammeno.

With the dogs all safely in their houses, I set off in a westerly direction towards Krios. Dark clouds, like yesterday, filled the sky so I made mental calculations as I ran along. Unlike yesterday, there was no rain over the sea and the sky cleared as time went on. I made it to Krios then headed back.

I sat for a while and then went for a shower whilst my porridge cooked in the Instant Pot. Very few meals do not involve the Instant Pot. How did I survive before?

Breakfast out of the way I watched some interesting videos on YouTube whilst enjoying what was left of the sun. The sky clouded over and it threatened rain. It became very grey and uninviting outside.

I went for a wander around the block and noticed there were no sheep in the field and the fence was open. I walked back to the compound through the field and surprised the dogs as I came through the gate. Plants have grown up since we have not used the field path but we have flattened them down again this evening.

I fiddled around with the customer invoice spreadsheet and updated the Grammeno Google Website. I changed it around the other day as it was not relevant to the winter time. I hope it now reads a little better. https://grammeno-camping.business.site/

I went out into the camping to see if Xanthippos had walked Georgia’s dogs to find that his bike was parked outside her gate. There was a bit of noise early this morning so I hoped he would give them a good run out. He came past to tell me the window to the linen room was ajar so I let him into the reception to search for a key. None was found and it transpired that Olivia, jealous of her own little domain, has retained both keys at her home.

I walked the dogs via the field route again under a heavy sky. They enjoyed their walk and came back to meat and bed. Luis is cleaning his paws, Fido is sleeping on the bench seat and Obi is outside as he was too slow at coming in. Fido has developed the annoying habit of going out at bedtime but then wandering around the compound. I get fed up waiting for him to come back in so go to bed. He then comes to the door wishing to be let in. This evening, we shall play a new game whereby he will go out on a lead to the smaller compound where he will be released and collected as I come back from the loo. I shall take control of the situation!

As the title suggests, it’s potatoes and peas this evening. The Instant Pot has beeped and the rice is cooked so I’d better go and do something about putting it all together.
