Here comes the sun

It was warmer than anticipated so I’m glad I chose my dog-walking jacket rather than a lined one. We completed five circuits of the Promontory which took up just under an hour and 5km. The dogs were seen to be cutting the corners after the third lap. All except Obi who is obligated to the full nine yards. Back at the factory, some washing was requiring my attention due to a 07:45 appointment with David and Carol. I went off for a run a little later getting back just as the cycle ended. I still had my Core Workout to complete so got on with that. My iPad battery ran out part way through so I did some extra catching up. I had another load of washing to get in for Angelica and there is one more for tomorrow as well. I said I’d put it in first thing when I go to turn on the water heaters so that she has a better chance of getting it dry.

I finally ate my breakfast and then got on with some camping admin as well as some of my own. The Matthew Shepherds’ Hut Bathroom Hut negotiation is still ongoing so Matthew took additional photos last night. There have been a number of emails flying back and forth to Denmark but hopefully the sale will go through eventually. We have managed to escape from the eBay ecosystem so are now able to share emails between the three of us as it was annoying to have to keep forwarding the eBay conversation to Matthew.

Inter Sport Seaford now has two working PC EPOS tills so now is only waiting for a new server which should arrive early next week. Richard Harding, the manager, is looking forward to setting up a new server although it should be more straightforward than the last time due to experience. Disks need installing and setting up, something I’m obviously not able to do from here so require a skivvy. My skivvy used to be Mike Fuller the MD but he’s less active in that business now. It’s good that the customer sees all the messing around that goes on behind the scenes so they have a greater understanding of the work required.

Xanthippos has been fairly demanding today one way or another. He got shirty when I told him I wouldn’t move the customers from around the bar. I finally relented as I could see they were in no hurry to depart and Xanthippos did have a valid reason. We were due for a Royal Visit today however I now understand that will take place tomorrow with Xanthippos being picked up at 10:00(!) – that I want to see happen. Georgia doesn’t do ‘morning’. They are going off to complete various errands so he’ll not be in the camping to annoy me.

The customers who came for only two nights and stayed four are still here although this is definitely the last night. The yellow Mercedes is now parked at right angles to the sea as this allows access to the bar area. I’m informed there are problems with tree roots in the drains and there will be a machine coming to excavate and perhaps remove a tree or two(!).

The dogs enjoyed a good evening walk followed by some biscuits and meat. We can now run to meat alternate days as there are fewer dogs. The same amount of meat given in smaller quantities more frequently. Still only one large tin per week.

I was a little disorganised about getting food today and planned to go into Paleochora to shop. This didn’t happen for various reasons and I didn’t put food in to reheat before going out on the walk.

Charlie is in relaxed mode, Luis and Obi are sprawled out tail to tail, Fido is in the corner behind my foot on the floor and Oskar is on a blanket at the front of the van. All is peace and tranquility in doggy land.
