Beautiful moon

No rain this morning but a beautiful moon to welcome us on the Early Walk. The moon lasted quite a while before sinking into a bank of cloud on the western horizon. It was warm and the dogs were reasonably motivated so I took the active group around three times before collecting the others. I let Skinny go at the end to see how things panned out.

Oskar and Luis did not appear at the collection point for biscuits. Unlike Oskar to be AWOL. Skinny was around but enjoying his freedom so shadowing us on a parallel course. We headed back to the camping and I put the three I had inside leaving Isabella on the decking to amuse herself and gulp down the food I’d put out for her. At least that kept her busy for the first twenty seconds!

Skinny appeared and I could hear a racket from Georgia’s dogs so walked down the camping with Skinny to see if it was Luis and Oskar. It was The Rug, the German Shepherd which followed Skinny and I back a few weeks ago. Apparently, according to Xanthippos, her owner lives above Koundoura and drives a white Jeep. He told her to go home later so I’ve not seen her since. When Skinny and I returned to the van, Luis and Oskar were waiting by the field gate so I put them inside and got ready to run. I didn’t know how long the weather would stay fine so wanted to get on with it. Not helped by the Luis/Oskar disappearance.

The Rug followed Skinny and I like the last time before returning to the camping to hang around. She’s big but harmless although not quite all other dogs are aware of that fact. I had a shower and prepared my breakfast.

It was sunny and warm to begin with although I knew it wouldn’t last. I had my breakfast and got on with an IT task for Kirsten at EG. I had to install an updated version of Microsoft Office on her computer. Xanthippos arrived to borrow my low steps and disappeared off to do his thing.

Isabella and I went to see the Finns who were sheltering in the warmth of their Hymer. They are going to stay a while, maybe a month. They needed some answers to important questions such as the loo emptying location and garbage disposal.

I took Fido and Isabella on a quick walk around the Promontory as I couldn’t be sure when next we might have an opportunity. There has been 8.4mm rain so far today with more to come in the night.

Friday and Saturday look quite damp.

There was more rain so I amused myself by trying to find a reliable driver for my computer video card. At present, it crashes periodically. The dogs wandered in and out or slept inside. The day passed by with more of the same.

There was no Evening Walk due to inclement weather however I took Isabella on a round-the-block walk just to give her a change of view and the others a rest. That said, I’ve noticed that Skinny seems to be absent so I may have to look out for him. Undoubtedly wandering around the camping. I released him so he could go inside but he seems to have done a runner over the fence unless he’s being a good boy and is sleeping outside somewhere.
