More arrivals

I woke up not feeling that great but didn’t know why however Ursula may have the key. Yesterday evening I went down to see the English group just to check-in and to ask them to think about their neighbours as they were sitting outside on their decking. I was offered some chocolate brownie which I’d declined but was given a chunk anyway. It was a little dry but still edible in small doses. Wishing to be polite, I finished the whole chunk I was given before taking my leave and retiring to bed.

I woke up at 04:30 feeling more than a little bit unwell so we didn’t manage an Early Walk as I just wanted to fall into a heap. Ursula’s theory is that the wheat in the cake may have given me a reaction seeing as how quickly it passed and how little wheat I usually consume.

As time passed, I felt better but decided to wear a mask whenever I went out amongst the customers just in case the morning event was more than just a digestive upset. One cannot be too careful at present. Hopefully, it will be a thing of the past tomorrow.

It was time for the weekly phone call home and the morning turned into the afternoon.

There are a few dogs on-site so the dogs were barking in response to others nearby and I was out for a long time with customers and Georgia in the office. Erica must have had a difficult afternoon.

It was getting late when I came back and the dogs were a little excited as they were alone a long time without a walk this morning. I calmed them down and have fed them so now need to find something for myself.

I don’t plan to eat that much probably just some salad.

Georgia told me that the road to Paleochora will be closed for several hours every Monday for the next six weeks so they can take down the overhanging rock on the tricky bend. I notice they have dealt with the section of road outside Paleochora which is a blessing.

I was about to call it a day when my phone rang to tell me about two people at the entrance who wanted a room for the night. We should have had one for two people but it didn’t get cleaned as we were unaware if the guy had left. I put them in M1 which is for four people. A couple of nice ladies from Chania on a girlie night out.

Seems that Georgia was watching the reception camera as she phoned asking if it was another customer arriving. For a COVID October weekend, it’s been busy and this is only Saturday.

I’m now going to get something to eat and then fall into a heap!
