Kostas was arriving as we were leaving the Promontory. I heard a few excited barks from Obi and Skinny as they greeted/chased after the 4×4. The two of them came back quickly enough when I called and we carried on down towards Plakaki.

The sea was very calm as there was little wind although it was not hot. The sky was clear and blue as was the sea.

Looking southeast at 05:59. Note Gavdos in the distance

I noticed a red car arrive and park in the beach car park which turned out to be someone diving and fishing. Kostas didn’t have so much to do as I saw his car head up the beach road as we walked back.

The sun was warming as we completed our second circuit and then back to the camping just before 07:00. I had a computer to look at as it had acquired some malware. I’d left it running a virus scan the evening before. I got on my bike and rode to Petrakis for some tomatoes amongst other things.

Other than the fact that I was following the rubbish removal operatives, my ride back was uneventful. I noticed that hardly a week has gone by since the road was tarmacked and there is a new excavation with a cone to warn drivers.

I must confess to passing an inactive day with my nose stuffed firmly in my computer. I’ve been copying the reservations from the production booking calendar over to the VikBooking site. It’s a laborious job but I think it’s better to work with real data. I can then produce meaningful reports and see how to accomplish different tasks. I’ve now got the pro version of the software which unlocks all of the features and should make life easier. I was struggling a little with the free version.

It has been a reasonably quiet day as Luis has had a collar on since late morning as his barking was annoying when I was trying to concentrate. Other than Oskar, who almost became the runner-up in the Collar Stakes, it was enjoyably calm. Oskar eventually got the message.

The doggy rice is done so it’s merely a matter of feeding the doggies and we’re done for the day as I’ve already eaten mine.

A warm and sunny day with just a hint of chilliness.
