Some naughty person has an annoying motorbike which deliberately makes popping noises from the exhaust. The aforementioned derives pleasure travelling to Paleochora and back to Kountoura or Krios in the dead of night. Fido is particularly sensitive to loud bangs so decays into paroxysms of barking soon to be joined by Luis. This wakes me up and I shout a bit. There were two such events.

Otherwise, the night was a lot cooler as I even required a sheet to keep warm! There was wind at getting-up time so I donned a T-shirt to be on the safe side but discarded it for the Plakaki section of the walk.

There were several cars in the beach car park but the owners conveniently pitched their tents on the east side of the Promontory out of the way. Thus, we were unhindered by their presence. Kostas was collecting salt but we didn’t chat.

Back at the factory, I knocked up some dough before setting off for a ride into Paleochora. I visited the PAWS puppies and chatted briefly to the Austrian couple who were on their way to see the puppies as they were leaving. We talked about them perhaps visiting during the winter.

I went up the mountain a little way and down towards the road to Kountoura. I then stopped at Alonaki for a swim there as the wind had stirred the sea up on the Grammeno side. It was around 09:15 by the time I was back at the camping to release and feed the dogs, make some tea and decant the dough into a loaf pan.

I had a little IT task to perform for Inter Sport which I got on with so as to complete it before the scheduled power outage from 11:00 – 15:00.

I’ve also made some banana bread as the bananas were knocking on the door of the fridge. I baked the BB and then the rye/oat bread after. I’ve updated my Apple devices to the latest Beta software which must have slowed the network down considerably as they are rather large. I have the watch yet to complete as the iPhone has to be updated first.

The iPad OS supposedly has some new features which will make it more useful for people like me who are trying to use it as a MacBook substitute. At present, there are some very tiresome omissions which are fine so long as you just intend to use the iPad as a tablet. In many ways, the iPad and Magic Keyboard combination is very versatile as the iPad has many features of the Mac OS coupled with a touch screen. A MacBook has Mac OS but not the touch screen. Many, including me, would like to see the iPad Pro’s use the Mac OS. I shall amuse myself for the next couple of days discovering the differences the new version of iPad OS has to offer.

It has been quite windy and this will continue until tomorrow. Someone came to clean the large rental tent right next door. I picked up all of the poo so as not to stink them out but, as yet, no one has appeared to take up residence.

Most dogs have spent much of the day asleep other than Oskar who got on my nerves a bit by barking occasionally.
