Still and t-shirtless for the Early Walk which was otherwise quite uneventful other than Charlie leaving at some point to go home. He was standing by the open gate being very waggy. The others went racing up to him and there was even more wagging. You’d think he’d been absent for a month!
I Balanced and Elevated before riding my bike complete with two working brakes. The hydraulic back brake is gradual which is idea for a back brake. I suspect some air might have entered the system and the hydraulic pipe needs shortening so I’ve ordered a brake bleed kit and some mineral oil.
There were two new puppies at the PAWS sanctuary today. Females with docked tails. Docked by some idiot so close as well. They were very friendly, tested their teeth on my fingers as all puppies do and tugged at a rope together.
The plan was to swim with Michael at 09:00 so I couldn’t hang around too long. He sent a message to say he was waiting at the bar. We ended up going out quite far as there was a little swell and slight wind. We loafed on some loungers until 10:00 when I went back to release the dogs.
I had a call from Maria in the reception to say that the POS device had a defective ‘3’ key making payment difficult but she couldn’t find the other POS device. She wouldn’t have been able to set it up anyway. The card machine is rented from the bank so they should supply a replacement. Added to that, she couldn’t print. She was on the Grammeno Camping WiFi for some reason which would not allow her to access anything other than the Internet as it’s intended only for the customers. I reset the connection and restarted the laptop so she could print. I also got a new toner cartridge ready as the current one is down to around 5% so will start to get patchy soon. We seem to be well-off for printer supplies for some reason. Considering how expensive they are…
Maria is still stressing about her exam which has been moved to next weekend. It should be easier now that Michael plans to stay until next Sunday. I expect Maria will pass provided she keeps herself together. I escaped and went back to the dogs.
The DDs needed processing and I wanted to get an Amazon order together as I need several items. It’s much better to order a load of stuff in one go as then the shipping is much cheaper especially as it comes via DHL from Germany or wherever the central Amazon depot is located. I don’t think there’s any benefit paying for Prime unless I want the TV as I suspect international delivery is excluded from that offer. I’ve ordered another Instant Pot as the original is several years old and I use it every day so would be lost without it. A new fabric for my LaFuma chair as this one is saggy and broken. A bike hydraulic brake bleed kit and some mineral oil. I bought a large container as unlike DOT oil, mineral oil is hydrophobic so can be used almost indefinitely once opened. The smaller containers were stupidly priced. There are also some Instant Pot sealing rings and float valve spares. The final item was a pair of magnetic charge cables for my iPad as dogs get tied in the cable as they dash off to bark at things and break the cables or the USB C port which is very expensive to replace. The idea is to leave the magnetic plug in the port all the time and just connected it magnetically as needed. Doubtless, delivery will be a farce but less so than in the winter.
It’s become windy as the day progressed but should be calm for the next day or so. It’s been pleasantly warm with a top temperature of 34.4ºC as well as sunny. The forecast is more of the same for the next few days.
There have been more arrivals today but hopefully no more motorhomes as none have left. I notice a large Hymer has fitted itself into the space taken my Kirsti and Jorma their last visit. I’ve not heard from them lately so will find out if they are still coming.
