Janne and Erica Arrive

I wasn’t late to bed. I’d started watching Topkapi but knew I wouldn’t make it to the end so retired to my boudoir. The day had been incredibly quiet as the dogs had their collars on until the evening as a response to the previous day’s complaint. I went round and collected up the collars.

The Early Walk was uneventful. No Rug today but the other, rather nervous, dog we met yesterday, this time with a man who was more chilled as was the dog. We were just about to embark onto the field so left them to it.

Isabella and Skinny went tearing off to find Ursula. Other than Fido and then Luis trailing at the rear, I was alone until the others, having said their hellos, came to find me. I took the dogs over the rocks then we walked back together.

My cycling workout took me to the pass and through Paleochora as is my wont. There were no puppies to be seen so I continued back to the camping then quickly to the bakery as I’d forgotten to bring money. Buying something for €1,50 on a card is a little silly.

I delivered Tony’s pastry then chatted to the German woman with the Καλή look-alike who was leaving to travel back to Iraklion for her flight early Monday. She says she plans to return to Crete/Grammeno by road from northern Germany next time.

I released and fed the dogs then sat down with some tea. A new winter punter arrived who required an electricity meter. I went to connect him up and give him some information. He is Werner from Austria. He says he plans to stay until March.

Since the last of the three electricity meters had been used up, I rooted out the waterproof boxes and circuit boards for the MkII version. These will connect to the WiFi and give a constant readout to my phone. It’s also possible to share the meter with the customer so they can monitor their daily usage if they so wish. I need some more plugs and sockets which I shall pick up from the electrician.

It’s been rather an inactive day as it’s been sunny and warm with a top temperature of 29.2ºC.
