A Sunny And Dry Day

A quick look at WU assured me it wasn’t likely to rain so it was with increased vigour that I leapt from my pit to walk the doggies. There was a determined northerly wind so I had two hoods and a hat. My hands felt cold so I stuffed them in my pockets. Lots of flashing lights surrounded me as we strode down towards the rocks and over the causeway then up the beach towards the river with Plakaki in the distance. Skinny went on an excursion but not as far as yesterday. He had to concentrate his mind as he recrossed the rapidly escaping water just before it joined the sea. I suspect his outward journey was further up so wider and more sedate. Something sparked interest causing a mass exodus across the mud and up the river bank. It was interesting to track the progress of each dog by the colour of its light.

Back to the Promontory and round over the rocks once more but in an anti-clockwise direction then back to the camping. It was 06:15 at the river and 06:25 back on Grammeno Beach where it was now easy to see the dogs and the surrounding area. The moon is in its final throws for this month however dawn was well on her way.

I fed the pussies then took Isabella out once more. Today, we appear to have forgotten about our poor, sore foot and back to galloping madly after the ball again. It was still chilly so I might have waited a while before going out again. Back at the factory, I Elevated and Balanced before serving up food for the mob.

I prepared tea and food for myself then Kirsti came to give me her electricity meter reading and to tell me they plan to start their journey back to Finland next week. They will be travelling via Poland which apparently is choked with refugees from Ukraine. Kirsti’s daughter will meet them in Helsinki with their winter tyres which will enable them to travel north unhindered by ice and snow. I’m informed they are no strangers to snow in Finland and it gets quite chilly at times.

With Frank planning to return to Romania that will leave Mike and Anke until the reappearance of Sandra and Sonja in a week or so. Anyway, March is soon upon us so summer travellers might begin to arrive in April or May. Perhaps, by then, Maria may reappear. In any event, there will be more staff.

The remainder of the warm and sunny day was taken up with one washing machine for Mike, chats with Michaelis and some aimless wandering around. Kirsti took Isabella for a walk then I rode to Paleochora to buy food for the weekend which seemed like a good idea. The sun shone from a clear sky with some little fluffy clouds as I rode into town. It was still occasionally draughty and not overly hot. All the better for riding. On the way back, I made more effort to ensure my BPM reached 130 for a minute or so. My daily aim achieved.

I prepared food for later and put on the doggy rice for their supper. I’m in the precess of upgrading the software for my solar PV control computer however the process appears to be slow.

Georgia called to tell me one of her fiends will be arriving to reside in T2 for a couple of nights and will pay 25€/night. Not too bad for one person in accommodation for four however T1 is out of commission as it’s in removal phase. I was later informed about the delay of the new static which may now arrive Tuesday and not Sunday. Such excitement is beyond my wildest dreams!

The stiff northerly breeze kept the temperature down especially out of the sun. It was good to enjoy a dry day again.
