Pikkuna Has Arrived!

Luis was defending the entire back bench seat for his personal use leaving Isabella and Oskar on the floor. I shut him up verbally from the comfort of my pit until he started up again when Oskar tried to get up. At this point, I got out of bed and pushed Luis onto the floor so that he could see how it is when the boot is on the other foot. The remainder of the night was relatively peaceful.

The morning was calm but quite chilly after the past few days or warmer temperatures. What breeze there was came from a variety of directions and was mostly cool. We all made it to Plakaki, even Luis and Skinny joined us on the second walk. I had a competition between Skinny and Sasha during the dog petting part of my FST which today was performed on the rocks as it was much calmer. Incidentally, the sun is rising just after seven!

I rode to Paleochora with the intention of buying only bread and doing the grocery shopping tomorrow morning. There was a great selection of fresh produce outside Petrakis so I bought some more grub for the weekend as well as the Doggy Dinners.

I had a substantial wash to put on for Johannes and then another for Dennis. Wilmer is now into solid food so there’s increased scope for mishap.

I planned to do useful electrical things in M4/5 but ended up just swapping over the air con unit from M1. The unit there has a heater whereas the others do not. The problem is that the large hose which communicates with the outside via the floor is a slightly different diameter. Just as I was in the middle of this, I received a call from the courier who was just up the road. I was expecting the awning sides on Saturday but the arrived today. The consignment was open at both ends so I was concerned something might be missing.

I went to collect the wheelbarrow to find Kirsti waiting to take Isabella which Jorma had captured for her. Not hard when it comes to going for a walk with Kirsti! He didn’t put on the prong collar and took a different lead so I rectified this too. I took Sasha and off we went.

Jorma helped me take the consignment to unpack on the decking. We checked everything to find that the turn knobs which attach the PVC to the structure and all the fixings were not present. It’s somewhat difficult to fix the product without the hardware kit. I sent photos to the company showing the packing was open and asking for help with the fixings. Later, I received a message from the courier to say he’d delivered the fixings and left them outside reception. What a good chap! I bet he was annoyed at having to come back though.

I moved the air cons but lost interest in installing the electricity meters. Perhaps tomorrow…

Maria had called this morning with an emquiry for a family to stay. I had to tell her I’d let T2/3 as well as M5/6. M4 was now available as the booking had changed so she was able to offer this to the customers. She called me as she was not able to access the booking site although I could.

With the arrival of the hardware kit, Jorma and I will have a go at putting up a couple of the panels tomorrow morning. He and Kirsti will join Johannes, Saga and Luna in Paleochora for the parade in the afternoon. A not-to-be-missed event!

I bought some barefoot activity sandals for the summer as they were in the sale and half price if you bought red. I got two pairs as the delivery charge is 21€ regardless, half the cost of one pair of shoes. They have red straps but I couldn’t care less!

Otherwise, it’s been a reasonably busy day with very little idleness on my part at least. It was warm and mostly sunny after the initial cloudiness. The wind was still chilly and mostly westerly.

Beans and salad for supper so tomorrow will be windy!

Warmer and sunnier than yesterday but with a chilly westerly wind. A good day for washing and showering too!
