They both went out around four but came back very quickly so I was back to sleep almost instantly. That said, I seemed to be a little slowing getting up so it was later by the time we were out and walking.

The torch battery was full unlike yesterday when it went flat right from the start. The level indicator stays on green for ages, then amber for a long time before turning red and then off! Very handy.

I managed to get Luis to the first meeting point and we was with me as we walked to Plakaki and again when were were there. From then on, there was a little gap until he reappeared near the end. At least we all came back to the camping around the same time.

I fed the cats before riding to Paleochora against quite a strong wind. I was pleased to find Petrakis was open as I expected it would be. SYNKA was closed yesterday as were many other shops. I collected Bona’s pizzas and put them in the customer kitchen for her to take as she went home.

I was expecting a small group which had reserved four of the small cabins only to find the reservations has been removed from the calendar. So I took back all of the keys I’d collected from the office earlier.

Antonis called to give me some Horta, lemons and other fruit. He’s had an interesting time lately with his whole family going down with the lurgy. I don’t see him so much now as his van looks like so many others.

There was one departure, the family in T3. They paid by bank transfer and say they’ll be back in a month or so. The T1 arrival is a friend of Tim in M4 so just needed to be given the key. Easy job today!

Maciej sent this video he made after his visit to Metéora. There is sound…

I had a call from Georgia to invite me to eat with them. Tomorrow is the great meat day so it was mostly rice and a few sea creatures which I fished out and ate the rest. There were loads of spinach and Horta pastries so I was as happy as can be.

A Dutch couple arrived in a motorhome and are now down by the sea. They’re meeting their children and staying in accommodation with them for a week. The German couple in the VW paid as they will leave tomorrow to meet their daughter from the airport. They enjoyed their stay as we got chatting, as you do…

The dogs were patiently waiting for their food as it was starting to get late when I got back. Fortunately, the rice had been one for some while.

The day started very cloudy and overcast but warm with some strong easterly wind. This died down and the cloud cleared to give a mostly sunny and warm afternoon however it was cooler than yesterday. Tomorrow is predicted to be warmer than today.
