The morning arrived unexpectedly with the alarm clock. Luis, and others, had a few fidgeting sessions during the night but nothing excessively sleep-disturbing. Luis has a bit of an excuse as he seems to have a little dermatitis usually brought on by fleas. He has recently been dosed and treated so I need to find some way of relieving his symptoms. A dunk in the sea might help; a task for tomorrow morning.

Kostas was on the rocks as we crossed so there was a lot of barking mostly on the part of the Crazies and Oskar when Kostas tried to make friends with him. Kostas like Skinny who loves everyone anyway, so spent time with him. Sasha eventually got over herself but Maya contented herself standing by me and barking periodically. We moved on and Kostas had left by the time we crossed and walked past his parking place. It was very warm, 29ºC just after five, so Luis had gone into a decline and I was walking in the sea to keep cool. I considered the possibility of going in the sea for a swim but then the wind started to get up which took the edge off the temperature.

The lethargy continued so there was limited ball-throwing and more bathing when the girls went for their walk. I was happy to get back to sit down with a cup of tea before riding into Paleochora.

My bike told me the temperature was 32ºC as I rode to the bakery and then around for a quick spin down some little side roads. I stopped for a bathe on the way back then returned to feed the dogs and drink more tea.

I had a support call with Peter in Hindhead at 11:00 which went on over a series of reboots and intervals where he needed to work. I sent him some instructions so that he could make changes to his system when he was able. He will try out the current configuration and we will have a review in a few days.

The day has been very warm so I agreed with the dogs and we did nothing. Another hottest day of the year. There was a little wind which helped.

Wisdom Sports has at last had a visit from their Internet provider’s technician who confirms their connection is fine. It would therefore appear that the router has died so will need to be replaced. It is between 5-6 years old which is not too bad for a router under those conditions. I had a long chat with Sue who will provide them with a temporary backup until a suitable replacement can be delivered. I will have to preconfigure the router before it’s taken to Haywards-Heath. I remember going through a similar performance in Seaford. Fortunately, we have a backup router in Lewes which I will configure one weekend.

The hottest day of the year with a high of 36,2ºC at 13:48. The under awning temperature was just short of 40ºC so I might need to to get the floor fan back into operation.
