I didn’t go to bed as it was too hot inside. Sasha, Oskar and Skinny were inside. Skinny because he elected to. It was hot all night. The fan was on cool all night. I didn’t hear Luis snoring all night. I eventually got up just after four as I reckoned I’d slept enough.

The walk was quite hard-going even though it was a little cooler. There was no sign of Kostas but a car in the car park had some FreeLoaders with a dog. We didn’t discover them until crossing the Big Beach on the way back. There was a detour to avoid the dog.

We met the Greek guy from the day before and he admired the dogs. He’d been swimming at Azzuro and got out as we approached. Another figure was sprawled in a chair nearby but left probably due to the turmoil. It was around 06:15 by now. We walked back dunking Luis on the way. The original plan was to come out again after feeding Moggy and a drink. Then I sat down and remembered H-H’s VPN so spent ages chasing my tail not working out the slowness of the VPN was the true problem. Plenty of exercise for the Little Grey Cells and good training but rather a waste of time in retrospect.

There was no second walk which, in any event, was probably just going to be some swimming off Alonaki. We’d been out almost three hours so it was probably enough. All this heat takes it out of one.

Much of the day was spent fooling with computers for gain. There is a replacement computer for Stephen at LBS and the ongoing saga at H-H. I need also to get the new router installed at Lewes which will also require yet more effort with someone grovelling in the space above the changing room. The plan will be to get it so that I can access it early one Sunday.

A fracas inside the van revealed the physically terminated rodent in the form of a large rat. The poison had done its job rendering the rodent in a poorly state whereby it fell easy prey to Oskar-The-Rodent-Killer, that’s when he’s not killing cats or any other suitable creature that crosses his path. I have cleared up a little of the destruction vested upon me by this creature but have left the bait box with bait just in case there is more than one. Tomorrow may reveal all.

Otherwise, a very immobile day following the initial spurt of activity.

A hot night and morning which became generally breezy. Tomorrow is forecast to be windy and very windy on Tuesday. I look forward to that!
