Saturday

A large motorhome was parked on the beach next to the car park. I’m interested to see how it manages to get out as the ground is not very firm there. A camper, which has been there two or more nights was nearby and the owner got to meet the girls later.

The first walking workout was uneventful. Only one fishing rod remains on the beach as I suspect the fishermen will not be there tomorrow morning. I discovered this in daylight when I took the girls up to Azzuro and then to the Promontory. The DDs were already in the pot cooking by seven which is why we were out a little later.

I went to Anatoli for bread and was served after a visitor who seemed to have bought half the shop. The ride back was easy as the wind was behind me.

I managed to drink a cup of tea after I’d fed the dogs and before going out into the camping. Bona had the last of the Hell but has asked me to get more tomorrow. She did a couple of hours and then disappeared. I put some bed linen on my line as she is knackered and has had a hard week in the greenhouses. Bona is definitely no slacker!

There was an online conversation with a prospective customer yesterday evening who turned out to be a friend of the Czechs and was here with them in April. He is in Ξ3. He’s an officially registered Digital Nomad and I recognised him from his ID. He must have guessed he was chatting to me online last night as he was quite relaxed. He comes from the US.

Bona mentioned arrivals for Ξ2 and M7 of which I’d heard nothing. Maria contacted me later to let me know but the families were settled in and having their lunch by then. The group consists of four adults and three children which would fit in those two cabins. They all spoke English and one was a Swede. The boys preferred to speak to each other in Greek but also spoke English. They are here for the night.

A french couple, who were here around this time last year, arrived with their van and are outside the restaurant kitchen as I have nowhere else really suitable for their van. They were interested in the monthly offers for next year but wish to travel this time.

A firefighter and his wife arrived with their car which some kind individual had kindly keyed front, back and sides. He’s Chris but as in Χρήστος (Christos). They will be staying on the beach front for a night or two with their little dog.

The final arrival was a couple of young French lads who are hiking the E4. I think they walked quite far today and will continue on to Elafonissi tomorrow.

Two couples have told me they will leave tomorrow but they don’t plan to go early. The French hikers will also leave. The others have paid so can please themselves. I collected from the French couple in Bay 1 earlier so that will leave me two empty motorhome bays!

The weather was fine again with plenty of sunshine so the beach was busy. The day was quite active but not too demanding as the arrivals were spread out. They all spoke either English or French including Christos the Greek firefighter.

Cooler than yesterday but still warm for the time of year.
