Another One

My mega-salad wasn’t quite so ‘mega’ as I didn’t have the ingredients I thought I had. I watched the last episode in the current series of DCI Banks where everything ended well. Fresh Fields is still just as amusing.

The forecast had mentioned rain but none fell during the night however, I was outside just completing the final adjustments to Maya’s collar when rain started to fall. With the dogs all ready to go, it was a little annoying so I sat it out, literally, but forgot to pick up the doggy reward biscuits in the excitement. We eventually left somewhat later than planned.

The rain kept off until we were heading back to the van having walked to Azzuro and back. The intensity of the rain increased so I let Obi and Oskar inside not seeing Luis under my chair. I sat it out again this time with varying degrees of precipitation, at times hard. I was talking to Ursula who’d replied to my earlier message.

The girls and I set off some forty-minutes later to walk up the road to Azzuro once more followed by a trip to the rocks the other side of Houmas. I’d not been that way with the dogs in a long while. Skinny, who’d been out in the rain, was sauntering across the field as we set off so was also with us.

We did a little more throwing and returned as the sky was grey again. Nevertheless, I managed to ride to Paleochora for bread and a visit to Petrakis as there are DDs in the morning and Petrakis will be shut. Betty was in luck as she and I took her ball up the beach accompanied by Kevin still clutching his bread. We ran into Joyce walking her little girl. I think she will probably stop barking at me now that I’ve tickled her tummy.

The dogs had their breakfast and I made tea. I must have dozzzzzed off as the morning quickly changed into afternoon. I decided I would do something constructive so looked at some Schuko panel sockets to modify the electrical panel to be more useful as UK-style sockets have limited value here.

Another customer arrived in a red van. Some more Germans pretending to be Swiss. They don’t know how long they’ll stay but are next to the small gate onto the beach with the other Germans pretending to be Swiss.

I changed Lucia’s electricity meter to a wireless one as there are now fewer vans and I have more meters. They are easier to monitor. She tells me she’ll stay until end of March as there’s been a mess-up with her Tiny House.

I fed dogs, prepared food for myself so now we’re inside sleeping, the dogs are as I’ve not had anything to eat yet.

Cooler than yesterday but without the wind. Some rain in the morning with the odd shower, 4mm total precipitation. Chance of rain in the night. Tomorrow is likely to be very windy.
