Tuesday?

After the excitement of the Christmas meal I settled down to write my blog, eat a little sandwich and watch an episode of As Time Goes By. Bedtime came along so I was soon in the land of nod.

I woke up around three but slept until the alarm. I’d put the collars on the dogs and gone outside when there was a very brief and unexpected shower of rain. Just long enough for me to put my bike in the storeroom and turn on the water heater. Nevertheless, we set off into the field and then the Promontory, followed by the rocks. The dogs were a little distracted and I later discovered why. We were soon on the way to Azzuro and to complete our walk in good time.

The girls went to Azzuro a little later once I’d fed the cats and sorted out the boys. It was lightish so we played with the ball all the way to Azzuro and much of the way back. A car had arrived since earlier so we discovered a fisherman on the eastern rock. There was a cat which had retreated to a high branch when we arrived. The cause of the earlier disturbance.

I rode to Paleochora for bread and some bits from Petrakis. I’d run out of bananas. The store wasn’t very busy as I did my quick shop.

There were the DDs to prepare and the dogs to feed so I didn’t hang around delivering the bread. With that out of the way, I sat and vegetated a while drinking tea. The dogs were a little agitated and kept barking.

The morning turned into the afternoon without too much delay. I processed the DDs, went to the office to print some Greek verbs for Kevin as well as try to investigate why the lights by the path are not coming on in the evening, We will see later if I’ve made any progress.

I had a go at fixing a small pump for Lucia and returned it to her then read Michael’s electricity meter. He and some others were engaged in a foursome of boules.

The doggy biscuits had run out so I brought in another bag and decanted some of it into containers to keep it dry and easier to handle.

The dogs then got fed and so I’m sitting outside with Oskar, Maya and Sasha, gazing at a rather grey sky which has been with us most of the day.

It has been generally cloudy but not cold with only a very few sunny intervals. I have a feeling that tomorrow may be similar.

Not a very exciting Boxing Day

A sometimes grey but otherwise quite light start to the day with little wind or sea. The day remained overcast with few sunny intervals. Tomorrow and the rest of the week are looking similar.
