Found it!

I went to Cornwall for the penultimate Wycliffe. An interesting story but I was mistaken about whodunit. Zoe was responsible for my evening meal which was most enjoyable. Especially the peppers!

I didn’t hang around late as I was falling asleep.

There was an extra Crazy Bitch on the walk as Iera was waiting outside the gate this morning. Maya managed not to bark too much so we were walking across the field by six after another later start. I still don’t feel I can manage the full eight km at present.

Nevertheless, we made it to Azzuro despite the river almost bisecting the beach. It was starting to get light as we walked back along the beach so it was properly light when we set off again after feeding the moggies.

Iera ran into a post and hurt herself for all of one minute. Maybe she’ll feel differently tomorrow as she no spring chicken. We completed another Promontory walk and returned to base.

I rode to Paleochora on full batteries with a following wind. A quick visit of Anatoli for three loaves and then back again. I decided not to go into Petrakis.

Lucia had left a wash for the machine so I put that in before feeding the dogs and making tea. Later, a couple called to ask if they could come to the camping to charge their batteries and asked how much it might cost. They were interested to know details of the camping for friends who might wish to stay. I left them a meter and will catch up with them for the money. I pass them in the morning as they’re the only van parked on the beach track.

Litsa and Manolis arrived sporting a lovely, hot meal for me which I enjoyed immediately as it was at its peak. I then had the desire to fall asleep which is unusual for me…

I wandered the camping a couple of times to deliver a package and chat to Mickey.

Zoe came to feed the cats as I was delivering a cold Hell to Noel and Bona. I was able to thank her for the meal she prepared for me yesterday. What will happen tomorrow?

As predicted, the sky clouded over as the evening approached. I’d already visited the eco shower for a splash around.

The dogs eventually decided it was time for me to feed them and gave me little choice. Between Skinny, Sasha and Maya, it was impossible to ignore them so I gave up. All is now quiet as they’re sleeping it off.

I just came back from reception where I welcomed a couple with a tent who plan to stay for a couple of nights. I assured them they were not the only crazy people in tents so left them to get on with it.

Today has been fine, still and sunny so there was plenty of hot water for a cubicle shower. Tomorrow is the last decent day for a bit then it all gets a little unsettled with occasional wetness for a few days.

Warm and sunny with almost no wind. A very pleasant day for the beginning of January. The weather is predicted to become unstable and wet after Saturday.
