Cold And Windy

Hetty Winthrop and her associate provided entertainment whilst I ate my fakes which were so good, I decided to have some more this evening! I then had an orgy of YouTube before retiring to bed AFTER TEN!

Obi and Sasha decided they needed to go out during the night. Sasha was quick enough to get let back in Obi waited until later. Even Maya decided she might be better off inside and the Siblings eventually settled down.

There was a strong, cold, northerly wind so we didn’t hang around on the Promontory but couldn’t get as far as Azzuro without wet feet. I was certainly not up for that.

Having fed the cats, I rode to Paleochora in the sunshine. It was cold and the wind sometimes gusting strongly. I got a loaf and stopped at Petrakis for DDs supplies. We agreed it was far from warm.

I dropped the loaf, put on a wash for Johan and then fed the dogs before preparing the DDs. I guessed it would be sunny so took down the sunblocker to maximise the potential warmth. Indeed, it was very warm as I sat in my chair once the tea was made and the DDs done.

ACS called to warn of a delivery for me and for the Slovenians. They’d ordered some dog food a while ago. My delivery was from China and consisted on a waterproof socket and some wire ferrules. I love to squander my existence on life’s luxuries! The nice ACS man delivered the heavy package to Bay 3 as it would have been quite heavy for me to carry.

I returned to remove the wash from the machine and deliver it to Johan. I managed to sit for a little longer in the sun before preparing food for myself later. I bought a leek and some nice carrots earlier as well as some bananas and nuts. So it’s fakes but with leek, carrot, garlic, onion and finely-chopped potato. Just the thing for a colder evening.

It got really cold once the sun started to move round. I processed the DDs then fed the dogs and cats. The latter had been attacking the rubbish bags left in the back of the Ferrari.

The dogs didn’t seem to require too much encouragement to go into the van as I’d already switched the heating on. Fortunately, it’s efficient and heats up very quickly once the compressor gets warm enough.

Other than cold and initially very windy, the day has also been sunny and warm when protected from the northerly wind. I’ve not met too many people complaining of the heat and I should imagine there were few showers taken today as the wind whistles through the glass less windows.

I’ve put my duvet on my bed having decided blankets are not warm enough. The cooler weather will continue until the end of next week but hopefully, the wind will calm down tomorrow. More rain is likely early on Friday.

Scary rain warning for tonight 0.01mm! After a windy and cold start, the day was sunny and warm when out of the wind in the sun. Following a dull day yesterday, the battery got a good charge as the solar has kept everything running. We’re using just over 1kWh of energy to keep the van warm in the evening.
