Wet

As well as my orgy of vegetables, I watched Lewis and Dangerfield. The case for Lewis and Hathaway was extremely complicated as there was a number of suspects with axes to grind. They finally solved the problem and the murderer turned out to be a woman. Easy once the motive was understood.

There was rain in the night but it managed to stop before we wanted to go out. We managed 5km with the two walks and even stayed dry. According to the forecast, it should have remained rain-free until around midday. There seemed to be quite a lot of potentially moist clouds stacking up but I hoped I’d make it to Paleochora and back in time.

The rain started whilst I was in Petrakis not helped by the kiddiwinks coming in to buy their unhealthy break-time snacks. I got most of the way back with minimal dampness although it started to become more determined during the last km or so. I went straight back to the van having decided the punters could wait for their bread a little while.

We went inside and I turned on the AC to try to warm up and dry off a little. I wasn’t wet enough to require a change of clothes as I wear layers. The day finally brightened up so I emerged to deliver the bread.

The couple down by the kitchen departed and were replaced by a couple from The Netherlands. We now have three Dutch vans in the camping although they’re numerically quite outnumbered by Germans.

Joyce mentioned her power was off so I reset the breaker but eventually discovered the meter in bay 3 and its plug were upside down so water had found its way into the circuit board. The second meter casualty in one week. I swapped it out for bay 2.

I set the machine to wash in the night for the Wrights. I noticed The Frogs had taken the liberty of hanging their washing up in the Winter Room. What a cheek! Hopefully, someone will tell them off. They decided to stay another night and I discovered about their washing after.

Manolis’ son Yiannis delivered a couple of gas refills and I put on a new one in the kitchen. There were four empties altogether.

There were some brief, sunny intervals during the day however the theme was wet.

Cooler than yesterday and certainly wetter. Tomorrow will be windy but sunnier and drier. It is January…
