Frigga’s Day

I can see how the kiddies of the 70’s enjoyed The Tomorrow People as it contains just the right ingredients. However, it’s not really lasted the test of time unless you’re a really devoted fan. From reviews, I can see things change in series two as some of the acting in the first three episodes has been quite hard work. I shall watch more to see how it gained its classic status.

A visit to Sweden with Wallender, who I’ve watched before. The settings are good and some of the houses in episode one inspiring in location if nothing else. The plot was quite gruesome and Wallender a little tiring at times but then he has a lot going on in his life. Single, shaky relationship with his daughter and a father on the road to dementia. The evening tailed off with As Time Goes By which is also easy watching.

All of the dogs came in last night so the floor was quite cluttered by sleeping girlies, the biggest of the bunch. Obi was at the front, the rest at the back. Navigation required dedication. Interestingly, the smaller dogs had all of the seat space totally unchallenged. But then they were there first as I took the girls out for a run earlier.

The moon is getting slowly higher so casting fewer shadows providing more useful light. There were few clouds today and only a slight wind. A lone car was parked by the beach and we discovered a fisherman as we wandered to Azzuro and back. I think he was a little confused by all the flashing lights.

It was not so dark today and dawn seemed to occur earlier as we could soon see without a torch. It wasn’t overly warm but not bitingly cold like Monday.

The girls performed much of the rushing about right at the start of the walk so we were back quite quickly. Skinny joined us today but we didn’t meet any bears.

I picked up bread and came straight back. Lucia had her portion before nine. I fed the dogs and charged up their food containers as the bags purchased yesterday arrived. The new checkout person gets full marks so far.

With nothing much else to do other than feed the dogs, I made tea, washed up and collapsed into my chair. It was very sunny and warm so I soon drifted off a little. In fact, it was so hot I was reduced to summer shorts and a T-shirt. I had a wash to deliver so used the opportunity to put some in for myself as it seemed like a good day to get everything dry.

Much of the day was taken up with inverter research. I need to replace the fans in the present unit but I’d also like to replace it and then keep it at a backup as it’s so central to my power supply. It has a difficult life due to summer temperatures and the amount of dust. Anything electrical is going to struggle under these conditions.

I wandered the camping a couple of times and gave Noel four cans of Hell for his mother. She’d sent him to collect them on his bike as she has a dental appointment. Soon, we shall see her new bottom teeth!

The cats started their diurnal clamour for food even earlier today so they were disappointed as they didn’t get fed until after the dogs as usual. They wind the dogs up quite a lot.

I went for a solar shower but the water was not very appealing so I went to the other side where the first three cubicles are open. I had to chase the leaves out as it had been windy earlier in the week.

I watched a European weather forecast video which seems to indicate that Northern Europe will remain wet but the south will be cold and dry, at least for the next couple of weeks. Next week looks quite chilly on some days.

I need to concentrate on other stuff tomorrow.

Warmer than yesterday with oodles of sunshine and a little wind at times. Otherwise, blue sky all the way. Tomorrow looks similar but next week is forecast to be cooler.
