Crazier Than Me!

Bright and shiny was the moon as we wandered past the caravan and pickup parked opposite our field exit. There were a further three vans in the car park. We walked as usual to Azzuro with the daily visit to the diminishing corpse.

With the boys back at the van I set off again with the girls plus Skinny. We discovered that one of the vans, not a particularly large camper, contained no less than five medium-sized dogs! Skinny went to say hello but returned once requested. We went to play ball on the beach and The Promontory.

I rode to Paleochora for bread and some items for the DDs as it would be Sunday when they are constructed. I gave Lucia her bread then put on a wash for the Brugmanns. It was now time for tea and to feed the dogs.

It was an amazingly warm morning so any idea I had of filling in tax returns evaporated and I managed to find plenty of distractions until the afternoon when I felt I really should get on with it.

The return of The Wrights gave me an excuse to wander down the camping, We had a chat then I left them to settle back in. They say they’d had a great trip around the island although the weather had been less than optimal at times.

The latter part of the afternoon was taken up with completing one tax return and speaking to Matthew for quite a while. The dogs were marching up and down carrying placards so I finished my call and fed the dogs.

With the dogs fed, I made some food for myself which involved potatoes, broccoli and carrots. The broccoli courtesy of the Wrights who’d been shopping in SYNKA in Chania.

I’d decided to take the Crazies out again where we met a crazy woman with five dogs in a van. Five is less than seven but she is travelling with this lot and has only the van or to leave them tied up outside. I remember the days before compounds and separate enclosures. Apparently, she picked up some of the dogs in Romania where they are only able to stay six months in the pound before disposal. I could see that she might even be crazier than me.

My potatoes, carrots and broccoli were almost ready when we came back to I was able is eat them immediately whilst watching The Gentle Touch which had an interesting story line and then Halt And Catch Fire on My Four. I’ve been confining my viewing to BritBox and IPlayer due to the ads on the others. It seems as though the adds are there to stay and run for more than twenty-minutes during a one hour show. I don’t mind the adds much as they give me a chance to do other things to do with eating. Unfortunately, the repertoire is very limited from my short encounters.

I finally fell asleep in front of the box so went to bed with all of the dogs inside once morel

Warmer than yesterday and very pleasant and warm in the sun. No wind of any consequence.
