Sunnenday

The night passed with one interruption from Maya who wanted to go out. Until recently, she’s been outside all night so could pee at will. She must now ask permission as I don’t think she’d make it through the crack under the door. The van door fits where it touches so there’s plenty of ventilation especially as the gas is disconnected and entirely removed.

There was one additional van in the car park as well as some random car which looked as though it had been there all night. Nevertheless, the moon was again shining brightly and, unsurprisingly, conveniently higher in the sky. We made good progress over the rocks and on to Azzuro. Things got a little bogged down from there as some dogs had gone to visit the nearby garden and one other had doubled back to the corpse.

I eventually got them all assembled except for Oskar who’d recently disappeared. I wonder if he might have joined Sasha by the river… There was more waiting around on the way back as Sasha had mysteriously disappeared once more. Considering she used to never leave my side and would stick to me like the proverbial to a blanket.

Only Oskar was adrift on the rocks as I doled out biscuits once more. We headed back to the van where Oskar finally put in an appearance and Skinny joined the girls for the next walk.

We didn’t go out for long as, following initial enthusiasm for the ball, Isabella hung on to them and the others seemed less motivated than usual. Taking them out in the evening seems to dull their enthusiasm.

I picked up two loaves from Paleochora after I’d returned the Wright’s overnight wash and delivered their Amazon packages. There was only the electricity meter and connection to deal with which I did once back. Just a matter of relocating the Brugmanns to the other sockets where the fridges are plugged in during the summer. The sockets in the middle of the bar were starting to become unreliable last season so I’m not bothering with them this season.

I returned to the dogs to feed them and get on with the DDs which I had started earlier. Once the washing up was complete and the tea made I was finally able to sit down to enjoy the cloudy sky. It was not like the previous day to begin with.

The clouds cleared after a while to give another sunny day but with lots of wind which made it feel very cool. I updated Lucia’s laptop which took forever as it’s a little under specified for W10. I’ve still to get her NordVPN to work correctly as the password needs changing which requires access to her Gmail. For another day…

I finally finished with HMRC and sent payment which should provide amusement. I just love the end of the tax year!

The wind has strengthened and become much cooler. Tomorrow is forecast to be around 11ºC which sounds chilly and also windy like today. Tuesday could been even cooler and Tuesday and Wednesday are predicted to be quite wet with a total precipitation around 26mm.

The day started quite mild with a clear sky and little wind. It was overcast in the morning but cleared to produce sunshine later. It’s now quite windy and feels much cooler which is likely to continue until the end of the week. Wednesday is looking wet right now
