Thursday

Hercule solved a difficult couple of murders involving all manner of complications. I even managed to stay awake the entire time and mostly during my comparatively brief visit to YouTube although I eventually fell asleep having ignored the telltale signs.

We didn’t get up as it was raining when the alarm went off. Our walks were shorter as we started after six and curtailed due to rain stopping play. I took the girls out once the rain stopped so we went round the Promontory once more.

By this time it was generally cold and windy so I decided a quick trip to Kountoura would be preferable to getting a soaking as I could see the rain falling over Paleochora.

The remainder of the day consisted of a mixture of sunshine interspersed with showers and cloudy intervals. There was a cold, and often strong wind. It was possible to stay outside so long as there was enough sunshine and the battery was completely full by the day’s end.

Interruptions included some study into the planned migration of email accounts to the latest and greatest version of Trend Micro’s filtering and malware product. I’ve yet to actually see the interface as it appears only to work on the desktop versions of browsers. There is still a problem connecting to the Mac via any kind of remote control software as the screen sharing facility requires local permission on each occasion which is not very handy for unattended remote access.

Bona and Noel came, the former without her new teeth until Tuesday next and the latter who helped me push the rubbish up to the gate. Bona was not delighted to find a pile of pussy poo in the kitchen where one of the plethora was incarcerated overnight. Always a good idea to be sure all cats are on the outside of the door before closing it.

It was generally one of those horrid February days one tries to forget about although it was possible to remain outside for the majority of the day.

The Greek lessons continued as they are now leaving on Saturday having decided the weather will be better at Grammeno for the next day or so.

I discovered the Petrakis delivery man had left two bags of dog and one of cat food together with some Hell at the bar. Furthermore, the customers who are in that part of the camping didn’t think to tell me it was there and left it for the cats to discover. It least it appears they like the cat food!

Not a fun day but probably to be repeated tomorrow according to the forecast, but without the sunshine!

A generally nasty day as someone used to say… Cold, wet and windy but at least the sun shone for a lot of the time. Rain is expected during the night and forecast for tomorrow.
