Spooks were all at sea on a hijacked container ship heading towards UK as a ruse to cover the main objective which was to blow up the Houses Of Parliament. Now, where have I heard that one before? I then watched a Tiny House construction video where a couple were building their house in the wilds of I’m not sure which country but it seemed to rain a lot and it was very snowy in winter. I felt sorry for them as they battled against the elements. There followed a resurrection project of a barge on the Grand Union. It was a rusty shell but not their first project of this kind. There will be plenty of accommodation eventually.

We were out about the same time but it felt considerably cooler than of late. The river is crossable with ease as I discovered on both visits. There were a couple of cars in the car park as well as a Swedish camper by the glass recycling containers. They may have been disturbed as I deposited the camping’s glass around 07:15.

I rode over Panorama but my watch went elsewhere judging by the distance recorded. It was quiet at the bakery and I didn’t stop at Petrakis. The ride back was pleasant and easy as there was a gentle, northerly wind. There was much stone crushing in the quarry and drilling to support the netting to the soil neatly covering the lower regions of the former rockfall.

I delivered bread and chatted to Lucia for a while. I mentioned a bag of trinkets left by Dennis years ago which sparked some interest from Lucia. She likes to make stuff from other stuff. I later took the bag to her together with a load of 5p coins which her eldest son, a cardio-thoracic surgeon, can spend on his next UK visit. Apparently, he’s pretty clever at fixing people’s hearts.

I made tea after feeding the dogs then sat in the sun. Today’s task was to transfer the LBS name servers to Pointer in Greece. I didn’t transfer the domain as it had lots of time left which would be lost during the transfer. It may take a while before the transfer percolates through the system. I also messed with some other stuff and might have fallen asleep. I did other, quite uninteresting but necessary website maintenance tasks.

It was a generally warm and sunny day once it warmed up but there was still a chill in the air. I notice the cold water supply to the van is becoming warmer due to warmer air temperature and sunshine.

Johannes Peace called from Finland to have a catch-up. They stayed last winter but he’s launching a new business so they’re in their boat near Helsinki. Johannes was fixing some additional PV panels to his boat as he says they’re much cheaper now. He was standing on the ice which he says still has a load-bearing capacity of something like 300 tonnes. Not much chance of falling through. His new business is to do with reuse of wind turbine blades. I suggested this would be better than trying to grind them up to make something else. He was talking about coming next winter and perhaps even keeping a caravan here! Their daughter, Luna, is soon to have a brother so we were discussing names. I suggested River as in Phoenix so then he could be River Peace. Saga and he had come up with some alternatives which I suggested might be cruel and provoke retribution once he was no longer a child. Shades of Paris Hilton and the like.

It was a pretty lazy day particularly as my watch decided to short-change me on the trip to Paleochora. It was better weather than expected and, hopefully, tomorrow will be about the same.

A tranquil evening awaits even though Maya is spreadeagled on one of the benches with Isabella taking up a position in the furthest position by the driver’s seat.

Much warmer than yesterday after a chilly start. The wind had shifted back to the north after spending time in the south and west. Tomorrow and Monday should be less cloudy and about the same temperature as today.
