Luther finally managed to catch the serial murder and his accomplice. Additionally polishing off some others including Alice who is now finally and terminally dead. It’s the end of the series so resurrection is not on the cards. Luther has many difficult questions yet to answer as his methods are anything but conventional and there was a certain amount of collateral damage to account for.

The next venue was Slade Prison where Fletcher’s mystical bad knee turns into reality when he falls into an escape tunnel in order to assure the return of Christmas celebrations for all. Sadly, he must languish in the prison hospital enjoying his own company, some whisky and Christmas Pudding which was his aim from the outset.

I was quite late to bed so the night seemed a little short. Even so, I was up before the alarm so we were out once I’d connected my bike battery to its charger which I’d forgotten to do the evening before.

There were loads of stars to look at as we wandered up to the rocks then on to Azzuro. Nothing to chase over the rocks today although scouts were out just in case.

On the way back from the second visit to Azzuro we bumped into the chap staying with friends in Ξ1/2 and his dog who’d had some unpleasant experiences with other dogs so was justifiably nervous. All of the dogs were with me so Luis and Oscar took some persuasion not to be aggressive towards him. The two of them like to stir the faeces which encourages the others. The girls and Skinny are fine when out together. Just those idiots. After a prolonged conversation during which the dogs forgot about his Oscar, we parted to take the boys back and to feed the cats.

Skinny and the girls were out soon after and we could see the other Oscar with Betty who would be more refined and genteel company. Meanwhile, we threw the ball and toured the Promontory including the rocks.

I rode directly to Anatoli in the interest of speed where I discovered they only bake white bread and the traditional Clean Monday Lagana bread which I bought. Lucia and Peter had one and I shall probably demolish the other.

I had money to collect and punters to see off although M4 had already paid on arrival. My kind of customer! Ξ1/2 were ready with their money and donated to the pet fund. I discovered that T5 had left 10€ which I left for Bona to collect. I saw off Sue who is on her way home to Blighty but says she will return, maybe for longer.

Time was getting on so I fed the dogs and made tea for myself before reclining into my chair for what turned out to be a bit of a doze. For some reason.

The beach filled up with kite-fliers as is the Clean Monday tradition and ABB had annoying music and was generally cashing-in on the opportunity.

I collected sheets from the accommodation stuffing them into the machine as well as the wash for the couple who arrived yesterday. She told me her mother lived in Paleochora and that one of her sisters is already with her. The other will arrive in a few days. I found them feasting when I took back the wash. They invited me to partake but I had loads to do so politely declined.

One lot of sheets is washed and dried for Bona to iron tomorrow morning after her dentist appointment. The other lot is in the machine right now so can stay there until tomorrow morning.

It turned into a generally pleasant Holiday although I had plenty to occupy me so it wasn’t too restful. The weather was marvellous, a great combination of offshore wind, sun and warmth.

The day started cool and clear with a gentle breeze which strengthened as the day progressed. Generally sunny and warm. Tomorrow is forecast to be cooler with the possibility of rain late morning.
