Wednesday

Fletcher and his cronies were trying to spice up Christmas with a little festive cheer in this Christmas Special from Slade Prison. He found himself in the governor’s office with Godber then became embroiled in a hostage situation as one of the other inmates tried to escape. Fletcher came out smelling of roses as it was he who ended the hostage situation. I watched a YouTube video about how a smartwatch is able to calculate your blood-oxygen level and record your heartbeat. It’s very clever and involves infrared light and cunning technology. Next was something about how well Brexit has worked out.

I was wandering around at two for some reason. Probably due to some loud music on Radio Paradise as I didn’t turn it off when I went to bed. Always fatal as I fall asleep with it playing away.

The moon was even weaker this morning, the sky was clear and there was only the slightest breath of wind from the north. We completed the first walk in good time however Luis wasn’t present at the end.

With the cats fed, the larger dogs set off with three balls and a thrower. We found Luis wandering the beach car park like the Ghost of Christmas Past so he joined in for another tour of The Promontory. Isabella hung onto the ball until the bitter end so the thrower was a useless accessory.

After a brief intermission, I rode over Panorama stopping only at Petrakis where I decided to purchase the ingredients for tomorrow’s DDs as well as some leeks and spinach amongst other things. The Vegetable Lady was making the displays look attractive but served me promptly when I was ready. The ride back was peaceful. There is no more breaking of rocks at the quarry as they now have enough to backfill the trenches containing the new water pipes. Some areas have even been tarmaced over.

Toni announced his work plan for the day and I unloaded my purchases before feeding the dogs. I made tea once the washing up was done and enjoyed a languid morning playing with my spreadsheet. I was interrupted by Bona wanting a cold Hell and later by Noël wanting the same for himself and his two brothers I surmise.

I felt I should wander around actively for a little while so cut my hair and went for an eco shower. The full rubbish cart is adjacent to T5 as it’s too heavy for me to comfortably push up to the entrance. I should have taken advantage of Noël when he was around. He’s only a little chap but he’s a good pusher. Toni just moved it in exchange for serivces rendered.

I did more titillating of my spreadsheet after the arrival of the two ladies with the fire wagon. I think I have a picture of it somewhere. They say they were here in October which is perfectly possible as there have been a number of other punters since then. They’re only staying overnight so I added them as the first contestants on this month’s one nighter spreadsheet. More titivation was required to make the dropdown with the item list match the colour of the prices.

Yes, I know, sad isn’t it! It helps to pick the correct price for each item. The prices for a motorhome with one person and a tent with one person are quite close. Anyway, it keeps the Little Grey Cells functioning.

It was soon time to feed the dogs which now eat later due to the hour change. This makes the evenings shorter as it’s already dark. I just had to scan some documents for Toni and send them to Georgia so that he can obtain the necessary papers to work in the summer.

I’m waiting for a customer who might arrive or arrive late. I asked him to call me when he left, anyway, we’ll see. Bona has just called asking me to scan her documents too. Of course, it has to be done right now and not a moment later…

Cooler than yesterday but very pleasant. Tomorrow will be cooler and a little breezy
