Thursday

It was later, so my televiewing consisted of a visit to Yorkshire with Heartbeat. A doctor, who’d accidentally given the wrong medicine to a young girl causing her death, had come to Aidensfield under an assumed name. The dead girl’s father hired a private detective to put the frighteners on the doctor and eventually abduct him. However, they abducted the neighbour by mistake. PC Rowan and colleagues arrived just as the father discovered they had the wrong man. YouTube videos about the shadow fleet of aging tankers which has sprung up due to the embargo on Russian oil. An accident waiting to happen which included some romantic shots of the fishing port at Gythion. The film showed huge tankers at anchor transferring oil to each other to obfuscate its provenance

I noticed the fact there was little hair protecting my brain as there was a chilly wind. I had donned a hat for the second walk. We managed the whole 8km however I was struggling with a pain in my right leg from one of the muscles. It came on suddenly so I was hobbling a bit but a little R&R today seems to have done the trick.

I rode over Panorama despite my disability although I must confess to additional electrical support on this occasion. The bakery seemed pleased to see me so there’s fresh bread this evening.

I decided on a more restful day but was called to reception by a French couple who are now parked down by the gates onto the beach. Grammeno is their first port of call having arrived only this morning on the Chania ferry. Their first time in Greece so they’re getting used to living in a Third World country.

There were a few information calls, some of which I sent to the main website, others wanted to book for the weekend or come today. I’ve just taken another call for the weekend. Two nights/people with their own tent. I don’t think they will come and I said they had no need to reserve.

I made and processed the DDs but that’s really about all. I should have finalised the end of month so have to get on with that as Georgia is coming tomorrow and will want the money to pay people. I did find time to move another of Barbara’s plethora of domains to my Greek hosting.

So far, I have two bookings for the weekend and the family in M7 are staying on yet another, another night so I’d better extend their reservation.

I should eat or it will be bedtime.

As forecast, the day was cooler due to the chilly wind. There was plenty of sunshine and it should remain warm until Monday when wind is forecast.
