Lucky Find

With no Internet access, I watched recorded programmes on my hard disk. The first was another triumph for Perry Mason and his team solving a complicated murder. The second was Lieutenant Bosch fighting to keep a man he’s sure committed an offence in jail.

The night was warm as was the morning with a warm, gentle, northerly breeze. A complete change from the day before. The first walk passed without incident however I was accosted by the man whose car has been parked in the beach car park for so long. He came to ask if I could possibly prevent the dogs from coming to visit him so early in the morning. He’s set up his little camp close to the east track so it’s easy for the likes of Skinny to slope off for a quick visit. He explained that he attended primary school in Devon which is why he speaks good English. We went to visit him later so that I knew his exact location.

I rode over Panorama and then to the tobacconist for Bona who’d called me earlier, Anatoli and then Petrakis for DD’s ingredients. Once back, I fed the dogs and eventually made some tea.

There was still no Internet access so I went to the office to rearrange the cables and tidy up a little. Soon after, the router came back on so I was able to reconnect everything. There was a slight problem in so much as the IP addresses from the router were in the wrong range. I found the DHCP from the router was interfering with the DHCP on internal router. Everything works as it should.

There were some arrivals and a couple enquiries about prices to keep me busy as well as a departure or two. The Austrian couple with the nice motorhome are leaving tomorrow, Nina and Korel on Tuesday. Both have paid me. George, who has been a couple of Saturdays is in Ξ4 with a friend from Athens, the guy who called yesterday and his wife in T3 and a German guy in Ξ5. There has been quite a bit of running around. Not forgetting a wash for Nina and another in the morning for the Austrians who arrived this afternoon in a big motorhome. It’s been busy.

I discovered Maya’s blue light was missing from its mounting when we came back from the walk yesterday. Against all odds, I found not only the light but both of the batteries as we walked back from Azzuro for the second time.

The weather has been warm and sunny all day despite the forecast warning of a cooler day.

The dogs are fed and outside with me although I’m being eaten by insects and need to eat so will go in. Despite all the other things, I managed to finish off the DDs and clear up much of the wreckage

Today’s high was probably warmer than yesterday but these stats are of little value as the Internet has been off and on much of the afternoon.
