Shirtsleeves

We walked a different route in an attempt to prevent Skinny, Sasha and Isabella from visiting the wild camper. It was earlier too, the sky was clear but it was amazingly warm. Not summer warm but, for the time of the year, quite remarkable. We seem to be having June weather in April!

I took the girls out but it was later so we found people on the rocks collecting salt. We managed to lose one ball, the newest of the current pair. Isabella and Maya had already had a set-to earlier so were less amenable to each other than usual. When it all kicked off earlier, I just left them to it as they need to sort out their relationship rather than keep avoiding one another. Isabella is extremely annoying towards Maya then wonders why she growls back at her. It’s a jealousy thing as there is only one of me and they’re not up for sharing. At least, when I’m not around, they seem to call a truce.

I didn’t go to Paleochora as I needed nothing even though I suspect Petrakis was open. I had a lot of IT tasks to complete, some of which hung over from Saturday which was busy due to cabin arrivals. I concentrated on updating the Exchange Server at Lewes as well as trying to get Caroline’s mailbox onto a slimming regime. Both tasks were very long but required only occasional intervention from me.

I spent much of the day either wandering the camping collecting money, showing new arrivals around or playing with computers online. There was little time for much else.

A family who visited at the end of March returned plus the grandmother. They were easy as their previous place was free and they know where everything is. I was able to resurrect their invoice so just added another date at the end.

Walter and Helga arrived in the morning. They’re both in their eighties and have their elderly VW camper. They’ve not been to Grammeno in a while but their friends were coming later so I gave them a larger space for the both of them. The camping was starting to fill up.

The final arrival was an Italian couple in a camper. The woman spoke French as I don’t speak much Italian it was helpful. They said they planned to stay two nights but may be persuaded into a longer stay.

By this time, I needed to catch up on some admin as there’d been so many changes. Otherwise, I find I have to fiddle around trying to work out when people arrived and things are forgotten.

I decided that eating and going to bed was more important than writing a post which is why it’s a little late.

It was very warm to start as I was in shirtsleeves. The day continured the same and was very pleasant.
