Monday

Heartbeat was my main viewing choice as there was little time before bedtime due to arrivals and catching up with the admin. The storylines were amusing as Greengrass abducted a gelding to service two mares. A little boy at the school was having difficulties concentrating and his father was disappointed because he was not able to get into the cricket team. The local nurse got to the root of the problem which was that he just needed glasses!

The night and morning were warm so the door was open with Sasha and Isabella outside. For a change, we went to Azzuro first and then back to The Promontory later. This was helpful as we keep bumping into a chap with quite an aggressive black dog but today we were gone before he came out.

I took the girls and met up with Nina and the bears. They are leaving tomorrow so it could be our last walk together.

I went directly to Paleochora as it was getting on when we got back and I took down the washing as it suddenly got windy. I shopped at Petrakis then Anatoli with a final stop at ACS to pay for a package destined for Chesmo. Some other fishing tackle which was too difficult to take on my bike so the kind lady offered to drop it off on her way past at lunchtime as she lives in Kountoura.

I fed the creatures and made tea before investigating the lack of mail flow on the Exchange server. It was just a matter of reconnecting the certificate to IIS.

The Swiss couple with the Lab left so wanted to pay. They took water before leaving. The German family took the place by the beach so everyone was happy. Later, the other German family with the grandmother left as they couldn’t sleep due to the mosquitoes. I noticed there were too many as I sat eating and watching the box. They say they will return once they’ve installed anti-mosquito fortifications.

The afternoon was quite relaxing so I was able to enjoy some sunshine. Manos gave me some pasta which I’ll eat with the chickpeas later and some salad.

Georgia was wandering around the camping and Zoë was planting and potting as well as painting the stones white.

There was only one more pending departure, Walter and Helga’s friends whom I joined for a chat as they were finishing off a snack. I remember them coming to the camping years ago.

There have been no arrivals although I see that Maria has returned. I received loads of phone calls for summer bookings as well as another about booking for the weekend. I just send them a text and redirect them to the website knowing that Maria’s not able to answer calls.

A much more relaxing day after a busy weekend

A warm and sunny day although cooler than yesterday. Temperatures are looking cooler for the weekend.
