Quite a lazy sunny afternoon

No Lie-in one week after the time change. The change has not effected me so much as in the past probably because I changed the time I got up gradually as the official change arrived.

Our walk was fairly uneventful but otherwise pleasant and we were back in the camping shortly after seven for tea and cat. The cleaned radiator was deposited back where it came from and my pussy security detail made sure I wasn’t attacked en route. I exercised my mind then went out on my bike to the top of the mountain. The weather is mild and dry so there’s good reason for a change of routine.

I stopped to check out the plot where Anke will move her van at the end of the month. It’s not flat but has a commanding view of Paleochora and the sea in the distance. It’s not far to the beach with a choice of stony or sandy. South-facing so sheltered from the chilly northerly winter winds.

I wandered the camping having fed the dogs. There are not too many customers and the Winklers have left for another excursion for a few days. Anke is looking after their boats.

Much of the day was spent busily doing very little except enjoying the sunshine with a little IT work thrown in. I went on a couple more wanders and could see people enjoying the beach and sea.

Elene was on the beach when I went out for the last time. We had an enjoyable conversation and we were eventually joined by Fanis who’d been caring for an injured pigeon Elene recently adopted. They will leave the camping soon to travel back to Chania. Perhaps summer is on the way.

Warm and sunny. The warmest day since February
