Noisy came to take Sasha for a walk just as I was dispensing food and I suspect that, much as she’d enjoy a walk with him, her priority might be with the food. I asked him to come back in ten minutes which I knew would be plenty of time for her to guzzle down her nosh. He brought her back a little later suitably tired and calm. What a good boy!

I think it was some PussyEvent which sparked Luis’ tirade of barking. I asked him nicely to shut up and then got up as it was nearly time anyway. We were out of the gate by 05:35 heading to the beach through the darkness. The dogs were all flashing as the mornings are progressively getting darker. At least Venus was up and out but it will be a day or two before we see the moon in the morning.

Two motorbikes were parked in the beach car park and a sprinkling of cars, caravans and even a lone hammock along the beach road. We found the bike FreeLoaders on the second coming when there was only Sasha and Isabella. I carefully avoided the most likely spots when all of them were there.

A couple more tents were pitched near to the bar at Azzuro but despite some close observation by Isabella they probably remained undisturbed. It became progressively windier as time went on so it was quite blowy when we had our last biscuits atop the rocks on the second crossing. Fortunately, Luis had honoured us with his presence and had miraculously appeared as if from nowhere. So long as he doesn’t bother anyone or wander into the camping, I don’t really mind what he does as I know he’s still nervous of Isabella.

I took them all back then immediately left with Isabella and Sasha. We were just about to go around the seaward side of the Big Rock when I spotted the Motorcycle FreeLoaders’ encampment. We did a smart about turn and went another way.

Sasha had appeared with a shoe in her mouth during the previous walk and then abandoned it further up. I picked it up and took it back down the Promontory for fear it might have been appropriated from the campers. In the end, I suspect it wasn’t, however I left it in a position where they would most likely find it.

We met up with a couple of other dog walkers from Anydroi and engaged in a brief chat. We’d managed to avoid meeting before, purely by accident as we’d walked virtually the same route, me with both lots of dogs. It might explain the missing tennis ball however.

I expanded my brain and rode off towards Paleochora. By this time the wind wasn’t so gusty which was a good thing. I went up the mountain and stopped at Petrakis for some DD bits then returned to the camping via the sea. Today, it was exceedingly busy despite some persistent waves. A couple arrived and went into the sea and then a guy in a pickup who I’ve seen before. He didn’t hang around as he was in and out in around two minutes. I swam around for a bit then sat on the beach to enjoy the morning sun and the sound of the waves. I was dry enough to put on my T-shirt so I rode back to have some tea and a sit down before releasing the dogs. It was quite a bit later as I also fell asleep in the sun.

I put together the DDs after I’d fed the dogs then produced a list of account balances for Maria. She promises to send me the payment amounts which were made the other day so that I can update my spreadsheet. She’s a little busy, I’ve done my bit, so I won’t hold my breath.

The wind died down so it’s been another uneventful day with no support requests and just one call from Maria about electricity for a motorhome. This time next week will be the holiday so it’ll be as busy as it’s going to be for this year.

It was sufficiently wind-reduced to allow for an Alfresco shower although I needed to dance around a bit when the wind blew the stream of water in another direction. Isabella was watching from the decking and Sasha from the SDC. Maybe they thought I might surreptitiously leap over the fence and run naked into the sea!

I chose a bad time to go to the kitchen as they were super-busy so I waited patiently with occasional brief exchanges with the servers and Dimitris. Eventually, Petra filled my container almost to the brim with Fakes so tomorrow will definitely be windy regardless of any wind forecast!

In all, it’s been another relaxing day of reasonable idleness.

Some windy spells but warm and sunny so good beach weather. Apparently, many Greeks are choosing a beach holiday mostly due to financial pressures. There are plenty of people here according to the number of cars in the car park.
