Horrid!

Hercule saved a condemned man from the gallows in a complicated story. I went next to Oz for the third episode of Ten Pound Pom. Meanwhile, I was munching my way through some elderly beans excavated from the fridge. I was in bed by nine and asleep not that long after. The night was quite warm but a little noisy for those near the beach due to the sea.

We didn’t even get as far as the rocks as the lagoon was full so the possibility of getting wet was extremely real. We didn’t make it to Azzuro as the sea was right up Alonaki Beach and the river was flowing.

I took the girls out with Skinny and a couple of balls. Attempting to find a ball, I lost grip on a loose rock and fell to cut my hand. Nothing too drastic more annoying than anything. We didn’t find the ball.

I rode to Paleochora for bread. Petrakis was open but I didn’t stop there. I’d just left Paleochora and was speeding down the cycleway when my new, rear tyre picked up a large nail. The tyre was flat very soon after so I thought beautiful thoughts as I pushed my bike back to the camping. Fortunately, the bike has a walking setting which propels the bike at walking pace making it easier.

A heavy shower, the first of several, occurred as I got back to the camping after I had delivered the bread. I returned to the dogs, fed them and made the DDs. I was not in a favourable humour by this time.

There were two departures, the couple in the van who will be back next Sunday and the walking couple who are continuing to Sougia. We had an interesting conversation before they left.

The couple with the battery-charging problems have returned to the beach after two nights in the car park charging up. Johan, who’d gone walkabout has returned. He didn’t seem too thrilled with his trip and seems to prefer Grammeno for the time being.

The day was a disappointing mixture to heavy showers cloud and occasional sunny intervals The story of things to come for the next few days perhaps. I may have fallen asleep for some of it. Best thing really…

I’ve stocked up on tyre repair patches and rubber solution as well as some tube gloop to seal the tube following a puncture. Stable door springs to mind…

A dry start followed by a cascade of heavy showers and sunny intervals. Tomorrow night and Tuesday early morning could potentially be quite wet.
