Yes! I think they’ve gone…

Following their early start on Sunday, my adolescent neighbours behaved like adolescents and stayed in their pits longer this morning. They were indeed subdued following whatever outing they went on yesterday. I didn’t bother to find out or even talk to them. I politely hung around until after 09:30 before disappearing off to the supermarket for bread and carrots. What happened in my absence, I am unsure but the dogs seemed quiet when I returned.

The children were quite noisy in the morning when I was trying to get some invoicing out of the way but I was still able to concentrate reasonably. It was necessary to confine certain dogs to crates rather for my own sanity than theirs [the children, not the dogs]. I let the dogs bark when triggered by particularly loud outbursts. I understood that they would be staying for four nights but, after only two, I discovered their backpacks piled into the back of Georgia’s pickup and there is now a blissful peace north of the boarder. I’ve had groups there before and it has been a pleasant if not enjoyable experience. I made an effort to try to engage with them when they arrived and managed a bit of a conversation with a couple of the boys. I gave them power so that they could plug in their various gadgets rather than leave them on the electricity posts risking the possibility of removal by others.

It has been cooler today as anticipated. There were clouds this morning with a little wind this afternoon. From tomorrow evening it will most likely get windy with strong gusts so I’m planning to take down the awning unless the forecast changes. There is very little clutter on the decking right now so taking down the awning should be quite quick. It’s still a bind though.

Obi didn’t bother to return after the walk this morning so I didn’t bother to go and get him from the office. I will see how long it takes for him to make a nuisance of himself around the camping and for someone to do something about it. I tried the same tactic last summer but he was brought back to me by the end of the day.

There do not appear to be that many people in the camping, certainly not as many as over the weekend. The family from Athens with the Alsatian is still there but a brief trip around the camping shows a sparceness.
