There could be dampness ahead…

I was up before 05:00 which is the new alarm time. The clocks go forward in a few weeks so I’m working my way back so that the jump ahead leaves me where I was before the change. I get back to the camping around 07:30 at present which would become 08:30 when the clocks move on. I’m moving back slowly to 06:30 which will become the new 07:30 on the last Sunday of the month. I shall be asking questions so pay attention!

The walk was virtually the same as yesterday only that Skinny and Isabella were alone on the second shift so that I could put Skinny on a long line. They played together with vigour and Skinny had plenty of space to get his own back on Isabella. She attacks him when he’s at the fullest extent of his lead then dashes out of the way so he can’t get her back.

I went out on my bike to Spaniakos to see how things were going with Sascha and Steffi’s new abode. There has been a lot of work, the walls are coming along well and many of the trees have been trimmed back. All of the rubbish has been burned so it’s looking very presentable. It’s 25km to Spaniakos and back so my Move Circle was complete by the time I was back at the camping.

Much of the day has been taken up with the maintenance of the email server at Inter Sport. I’ve spent most of the day moving mailboxes to different databases.

The strimmer technicians were still at it and ventured towards the other side of the fence so were greeted with plenty of barking. I walked around and told them to leave Janne and Erica’s area be.

The day has been warm and sunny but also quite blustery with a southeasterly wind. The forecast is for rain during the night which might take the edge off some of the chirpy insects which have dared to start getting into practice for later in the year. At least the rain should wash away all the dust created by the strimmer technicians.

Today has been quieter as the large machines have not been working on the road for a change. I didn’t see much activity when I came back to the camping around 09:15 although some men were working on the curb [kurb] stones. I’m reliably informed that ‘curb’ is the American spelling and Kurb is British.

According to the Sunday Times, the UK government seems to think that 100,000 Britains will perish from The Lurgy. If ‘only’ 3,000+ have died so far in China and the rest of the world they must be made of sterner stuff than the feeble British.

Despite spending too much of the day sitting down, I don’t seem to be ahead of the game as it’s gone 20:00 and I’m still out here writing. My supper is ready so I’d better got on with eating it.
