It was slightly darker as we were out a few minutes earlier this morning.

Looking southeast from Alonaki towards Paleochora at around 05:40

The Early Walk was generally without incident as I returned with a similar number of dogs as I left. Oskar wandered off but was persuaded back into the fold with the help of some remote wizardry.

I brought the dogs back then trotted off to the bar to install a UPS to hopefully get rid of the problem with the WiFi falling over periodically. I felt sorry for Manos who’d only just finished washing the bar and restaurant floor. I kept to the edges anyway.

I made breakfast for myself and then went up the mountain outside Paleochora. On my return, I cleaned some of the mud from my bike as now it should hopefully remain cleaner due to having no muddy patches to cross on the way to town.

I released the dogs, fed them then myself. I had a message from the guy who works for the company that supplied the boiler. He needed the fault codes as apparently, more problems have been reported. I explained that I was a little out of touch with its behaviour since I’m no longer involved. Nevertheless, I walked over later to photograph the codes and send them over to him.

I appear to have spent much of the day playing with the booking website and learning how to customise it. I’ve learned a lot today and know where to find the majority of settings. The site is now based on the entire Plaza Ηοtel theme as I’ve now injected the demo data which I can change to my own. Like most of these things, it’s much easier to do the second time around once you know where the settings and default content is stored. It’s coming along however I need to find some better images.

Other than make some more Banana Bread and fill up Isabella’s food containers, I’ve done little else other than have my nose in the computer.

Some dogs on the Big Beach

The new boy at reception should have started today. I had contemplated the possibility of wandering up there to introduce myself however I was attracted by the possibility of a Maria-free day. I think I’ll choose a time when I know Maria is at the bar so that I don’t have to compete with her jabbering away in the background.

A cool and slightly breezy start followed by a sunny but still breezy day.
