All Gone Home

I fell asleep before reaching the end of Poirot and woke up in the following episode. I wondered why I was having difficult with the characters and story. Once I’d worked this out, I returned to the previous episode to find out who dunnit.

It was a little after five-thirty as we left the gate with Luis on the lead once we’d crossed the field. It was fresh but moonlit so progress was easy. Luis waited patiently by the gate whilst I put the others inside, even though he wasn’t on the lead. We met with Andreas so the three of them had an additional tour of the Promontory.

I went over Panorama stopping at the bakery when I was able to buy what remained of the bread. They only baked yesterday but yesterday’s bread is better than no bread.

Danga was driving their little red car to park by the beach as I rode along the cycleway. She’s going to Berlin in February and promised that I’d have a chunk of Marx to read during her trip with the opportunity to go over it once she returns. She said I would have had it sooner but she’s been working on another project. They’d come to spend time on the beach and swim. I wished them luck as there was a chilly northerly wind so swimming was low on my wish list.

I rode back, fed the animals and then sorted out the DDs before getting some tea. I wanted to get on as I had four departures and needed to get their money. I might have had a little snooze before going out into the camping.

The families with children got on well and plan to meet up on another occasion. Anke might be more relaxed now that the children have left as they spent a lot of time with the kittens. Only one customer had insufficient cash so paid by bank transfer. They all threaten to return before too long.

We found time to take Sasha, Isabella and Fido for a walk around the block. Fido is supervising the refilling of the Finnish gas cylinders in Chania tomorrow. Jorma has rounded up all the empty Finnish cylinders on the camping to get them refilled tomorrow. Fido must report for duty at 07:30.

I processed the DDs and fed the dogs. The fridge is rather bare so a visit to Petrakis is on the cards for tomorrow. I have to post some missing [sun] glasses back to the former residents of T1. I found them hanging on a spindly branch jutting out of the hedge. They are prescription glasses so the owner is very keen to see them again.

Generally warm and sunny but with a chilly northerly wind
