Sweeny Todd

I watched the first ever Sweeny starring a very young-looking John Thaw and Dennis Waterman supported by June Brown smoking like a chimney but looking much younger. I thought I’d give ITVX a go to see how well it streamed. I have to be on a VPN (Virtual Private Network) so as to appear to be in UK as the content is territorially limited to UK and the Channel Islands. Apparently, ITVX has all of the content of BritBox as well as live TV and loads of additional material.

The wind had moderated during the night, not that it was very strong before. The streetlights which had stopped working during the recent rain were on again which, for me is a nuisance as I feel it’s such a waste of energy.

Our walk was under a clear sky but moonless as the present cycle has ended. It was not cold and I even undid my coat. All the dogs kept up although Oskar went missing but was back at the end. Luis made it to Plakaki once more!

I took Skinny, Isabella and Sasha on the second walk. Skinny was involved with a bone so had remained outside the gate whilst I put the other boys inside. Oskar has now moved the bone to the area under my bed by the windscreen which is inaccessible to Isabella and Sasha as they are too large to fit.

I rode over Panorama to the bakery for a loaf then back to the camping in good time to take out the wash I put in for Alex, friend of Dominik.

Altogether, there were two washes today as Alex had more blankets to clean. It’s been a busy few days for the machine. I have a wash booked for 08:00 tomorrow.

I fed the animals and then made tea before taking a rest in my chair in the sun. The day was mostly sunny and quite warm when inside in the sun. I wandered the camping a couple of times, took money from Alex and had a long dog training conversation with him. His dog is well trained however there are a couple of things he wants to tidy up.

Kirsti came to take Isabella, and Jorma had Fido. I took Sasha the other way. She’s getting good at sitting down once I stop walking and waiting for Jorma to give her a treat without the need to stand up.

The last of the DDs this evening so the dogs are crashed out with me in the van as my food cooks in the Pot. I need to go shopping in the morning as there’s little left in the fridge. Pasta and a big salad tonight.

Sunny and warm just for a change.
