Sunny Day

A peaceful night with no nocturnal interruptions. I have a theory…

I got up at 05:15 so we were out just after five-thirty to a slightly warmer and only breezy morning under a moonlit sky. BB had remembered to turn off his outside light and came to pay the outstanding 10€ from his brief stay later.

Everyone eventually arrived at Plakaki where we had some biscuits before walking back toward the Promontory. It was getting light as the sky was clear and the sun is rising just that little bit earlier each day.

The second walk was brief with no additional trips to recycle glass so I was off on my bike to Paleochora. It was a pleasant ride although a slight head-wind on the way. I stopped at the bakery where I was the only customer. It was sunny and starting to warm up as I rode back gazing at the calm sea.

I had some server updates to install so spent some while getting that started. So far, the size of the updates made little progress possible.

I fed the dogs and made tea. Kirsti came to put on a wash and she was followed by Johannes with quite a large wash. A good day for drying clothes I’d imagine.

The lady with the dog left after four nights and another arrived later in the day. Why do people arrive on a Sunday evening at sunset?

We walked Fido, Isabella and Sasha during the afternoon. The wind was chilly even though there was plenty of sunshine.

I did a little camping admin later and played with my spreadsheet. As one does on a Sunday afternoon.

Frank tells me Andrea’s taxi didn’t show on time so he’s left his van at the airport.

It’s warmer and sunnier but remains quite chilly, especially at night.

A pleasant, if not cool start to the day followed by a sunny day with a chilly wind. It should be sunny and gradually warmer during the next few days although Monday is looking windy.
