Camera fixed

I reconfigured my bed when I changed the sheet as it was too warm with the sheet, blanket and duvet. I rolled up the duvet so it’s still available quite quickly and went back to a sheet and blanket. This was fine last night although just slightly cooler than I might like.

Our walk was without the excitement of Dennis, the fisherman. He thought it better to conserve his energy for the washing machine later and give the fish a day off. There was a slight breeze, no moon but a starry sky. It was cool rather than cold.

The girls looked for Dennis too so had to amuse themselves whilst I performed my FST as there was little else of interest and it wasn’t sunny enough for loafing in the sand. They settled on playing vigorously.

I rode over Panorama and paid a visit to the castle and the area around the port in search of the PAWS puppies which had to move when construction of some villas began. The villas are progressing well although that progress appears to have slowed down a little recently. I didn’t find any puppies.

I picked up the two remaining plastic vegetable trays I retrieved from the road yesterday. No one had come along during the night to remove them. I brought a bungee cord to secure the trays to my bike.

I’d put some hoodies in the wash as one came out dirty after yesterday’s main wash. I also put in my blue, fleecy blanket which is now on my bed too. This wash was ready so I hung it up once I’d fed the dogs. Not long after, as I’d just prepared the DD’s, Dennis called to ask to use the washing machine so we met up a few moments later.

I’d had a call from an English woman called Pauline who wanted to visit the camping. She and her husband, Pete, live on the north side with their dog. They arrived a little later than expected so I was about to go up the ladder to take down the reception camera when they arrived. I knew that would guarantee their instant arrival.

We toured the camping with their energetic dog which has a bit of a thing for cats. I introduced both dog and owner to the prong collar and the remote collar. It’s a very lively and lovely dog but has spent a lot of time with little exercise. She needs training as she’s quite large and very bouncy. Pauline adopted the dog quite recently but is determined she should be properly trained and reliable. They eventually left and Pauline took the dog and herself for a swim.

I went back to clean the camera and dry it out then put it back. The reception camera is now working properly at least for the time being. Where the water came from I’m unsure as the seals looked good enough. We’ll have more information the next time it rains and blows. It could do with another small pack of silica gel.

I came back to process the DDs and cook their rice. I have rice and beans tonight, the other half of Friday night. The cats were fed. Anke has been away so her’s are quite hungry too.

Slightly cooler than yesterday but with less wind and sunshine.
