Chilly Sunday

The wind got up in the night and was still strong in the morning. It felt chilly and the wind was northerly, strong and cold. The two vehicles were almost in the same place but the occupants of the rental car were sleeping snugly in the camping out of the wind. Hopefully, tomorrow the wind will subside.

I was keen to keep going at a good pace so as to avoid getting cold and found myself following Luis! We arrived together at Plakaki where I doled out biscuits before returning. By now it was light and we walked down the beach a little rather than the road. The last part of the walk was equally rapid as the wind was so chilly.

Skinny joined the girls for the second walk. Isabella had found the ball lost from the previous day so we took the thrower which I used a couple of times. The wind was still strong and chilly so I was keeping going. The dogs would go back but I was going out on my bike.

I rode into Paleochora and had put on two pairs of gloves beforehand. There seemed to be lots of traffic for a Sunday morning. I didn’t need anything so there were no scheduled stops.

Once back, I engaged in a little brain care then released and fed the dogs. I’d no long made tea when the family which arrived yesterday declared they were leaving. They commented on Maya barking in the early hours. They left their van at the camping whilst they went off to some archery at Anydroi. I restarted the boiler which I’d forgotten to do the day before. I suggest people use the solar-powered showers anyway. The boiler managed to catch up as I saw when I went back later.

The remainder of the day was very uneventful as there were no further arrivals or departures (so far). I sat in the sun for a while and amused myself clearing up poo amongst other little chores.

Georgia was wandering around giving someone the tour of the camping and threatened to catch up with me tomorrow. Someone had tied a dog up near the sink which made life difficult when it barked. I don’t know who it belongs to so assume it’s something to do with Georgia.

The clocks will go on next Sunday so I need to get up a littler earlier during this week so as not to have to catch up on Sunday.

Warmer than yesterday by 0.1ºC but pleasant out of the sun. The wind is still mostly northerly, chilly and strong. Hopefully, it will be warmer during the next week.
