My evening entertainment was provided by the operatives of MI5 as they thwarted a potential assassination whilst intercepting some deadly nerve gas intended to cause chaos in Nigeria. Some longer YouTube videos followed of a less intensive nature after the excitement of Spooks.

With only a week until the clocks go forward and the lovely light mornings disappearing, I’m still moving backwards a little each day so as not to have to change the whole hour in one hit. We were out at 04:50 to discover the moon heading towards the western horizon temporarily obscured by some clouds. It’s nice to see the moon with us again.

The walk to Azzuro was invigorating with a gentle wind from the north. On the final visit to the Promontory, by now 06:15, I heard Oskar barking and a female shriek in the distance. I called Oskar to me and we continued our walk back home.

The girls raced around as Peter and I followed. We visited the Promontory once more where the girls found two young women on the beach. One from Athens the other from Jerusalem. I think I’d prefer to be in Crete than Jerusalem. One of the girls met Oscar earlier and was a little nervous following a recent, unpleasant stray dog event.

I rode over Panorama to pay Manolis for the battery he kindly brought the previous day. The petrol station was quite busy. I continued my route around Paleochora with a stop at Anatoli and Petrakis as we have another holiday coming up on Monday so I was unsure of opening times. It would have been a good idea to have asked.

Peter was leaving to return to his place in the east but he’d already paid. Vagelis called to say they would be leaving and Michael, a guy with a Royal Enfield motorcycle announced his arrival from the ferry and riding from Germany. I put him back into the place he stayed when he last visited two years ago when Sandra and Sonja were here.

I collected money from Vagelis and then put on some washing for Nina. It was eleven by then and the dogs had been in since seven. I released and fed them before getting on with the DDs which I started a little earlier. I eventually managed to fall into my chair for a rest.

I woke up and returned the laundry to Nina and Korel with Nina taking another load to wash. I returned to my chair for some more gentle relaxation as yesterday was quite busy.

There was only one booking from a couple who visit the camping regularly, mostly in summer. They are now in Ξ1 which Bona cleaned when she came in the afternoon. The boys came to visit the dogs.

Georgia came to the camping so was gingerly taking the time to wander around. She fortunately updated me as to the condition of her health regaling me with some of the events of the past six weeks when she was incapacitated. I think they are staying overnight as the car was still present when I went to install the couple staying for the weekend. We have a selection of accommodation should anyone else appear unexpectedly.

I prepared something to eat from the selection of vegetables donated by Bona. I’m a little too well off for veg at present with an unexpected donation of cauliflower and carrots from Lucia yesterday and broccoli from Nina a couple of days before. Now tomatoes, cucumber and aubergines from Bona.

The day got off to a good start but became cloudy and a little windy as the morning passed. There were a few drops of rain late afternoon but it brightened up in the evening. Tomorrow is forecast to be sunnier.
