Fika

I got into another episode of Dexter and am getting more out of it the second time around. Things that passed me by are coming to light. Then it was BBT with a similar result.

A slight reluctance for activity so we were out at 05:10. The moon was hidden behind a bank of cloud so was making little contribution to begin with. It escaped the cloud so I was able to navigate without a torch. It was warmer and less windy than the day before but I had a coat for the first walk.

I rode over Panorama stopping for bread and little muffins for later. Petrakis tomorrow or Sunday perhaps as that’s a good day for shopping as the camping is quiet.

I had a call only a couple of minutes away from the camping from the Sicilians wanting the washing machine. Having spent time with them this morning I’m prepared to revise my opinion of them. They are staying until tomorrow.

The German couple with the massive motorhome were preparing to leave. They paid, performed their pre-flight checks and I let them out of the barrier before returning to the dogs.

They’d been fed so I drank my tea and sat a while relaxing whilst the machine did its job and I returned the laundry to the Italians.

After a while, I went for another wander where I ran into Jamie and his dad. The former feels sucked into the Grammeno vacuum however the latter has to leave on Sunday. He now should have the bus timetable with a bus from Paleochora at 11:00.

I chatted to Erica who was busily weeding their gravel and half-heartedly helped a little. Janne and I got into the bougainvillea cutting out the dead branches and training it over the top of their roof. It is growing very well probably spurred on with some of the content of my loo! The other one is not doing so well but the older is well established.

Fika time was approaching so I went mad and had a shower before joining Janne and Erica for tea. We parted around six having put much of the world to rights.

The dogs were reasonably well behaved during our separation but the guy collecting his sheep from the corner plot by the road didn’t help matters much. I fed them and prepared food for myself.

Nina, Korel and their bears have just returned to the fold with time to say farewell to Chesmo and Jessica who are leaving together on Monday. Nina said that their trip to Karpathos was cut short as it was very windy. Windier than Κρητι?

There were a few callers still waiting for contact from Maria. I understand Maria is snowed under with school work so I don’t give much for their chances. One guy might bring his tent and children for the weekend. There are no other bookings only departures.

Perhaps an easy weekend…

Warmer than yesterday with plenty of sunshine but a little wind. Saturday should be sunny but Sunday a little windy.
