Crete today

Fortunately, it is sunny again today as I was getting a bit fed up with all the wetness falling out of the sky. Not half as fed up as I would be in UK: not even 10% as fed up even.

Last night it got a bit windy and Boris’ daytime outside bed made its way to the middle of the path. My local PWS recorded 77km/h as the most powerful gust. This was accompanied by heavy rain so I felt very sorry for the puppies who were under the roof in the bar. The rain was driving horizontally so it was all a bit wet around them due to the lack of sides to the bar. Still, they were covered and seemed to be none the worse this morning. Dave and I let them out at 22:00 and they quickly skipped out of their cages, did their thing before being quite willing to go back in again.

Today I have been doing my accounts and getting my tax return into HMRC. I have also done Matthew’s too. Fortunately, the sun is shining so doing accounts when it’s sunny isn’t so hard.

I’m also in the middle of installing a new computer at Inter Sport in Lewes so I am not able to be outside as much as I might like.

Once the bread is baked, we’re all off for our evening walk over the dunes followed by feeding time at the zoo and then bed for puppies. Big dogs get to stay up and watch TV. They also don’t have to be out in the rain or sleep outside.

The smell of baking bread is becoming more powerful by the moment…
